Voting on the nicknames alone my favorites are [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_f]Demi[/name_f]. Personally I don’t think it really makes sense to name your daughter [name_f]Libby[/name_f] and call her [name_f]Liberty[/name_f]. [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] should be the full name and [name_f]Libby[/name_f] the nickname. I don’t think [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] works as a nickname for [name_f]Macy[/name_f] either.
I tried but couldn’t vote here because there was such a mix of likes and dislikes in each option. eg I like [name_u]Abby[/name_u] for [name_f]Abigail[/name_f], but not [name_f]Gail[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Demi[/name_f] and [name_f]Demetria[/name_f] but not [name_f]Dee[/name_f] so much. I love [name_f]Libby[/name_f], but for [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Lizbeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f], or even for [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]. But [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] for [name_f]Libby[/name_f] didn’t make sense, and I’m not keen on it the other way round ie [name_f]Libby[/name_f] for [name_f]Liberty[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] but again it doesn’t make sense as nn for similar sounding [name_f]Macy[/name_f]. [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] or the completely adorable [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] - now that would be something! [name_f]Flo[/name_f] for [name_f]Fleur[/name_f] again doesn’t work, but lovely for [name_f]Florence[/name_f].
I completely understand and agree with your opinion. [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Macy[/name_f] are very similar… why using one of them as “the” name and the other as the nickname… and about [name_f]Libby[/name_f], I agree too!
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f] - [name_u]Abby[/name_u] (this is one S/O and I love!)
[name_f]Astrid[/name_f] - Astee
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] - [name_f]Avie[/name_f]
[name_f]Demetria[/name_f] - [name_f]Demi[/name_f] (my sister went to school with a [name_f]Demetria[/name_f] nn [name_f]Demi[/name_f], S/O and I love it!)
[name_f]Fleur[/name_f] - [name_f]Flossie[/name_f] (I love this as a nn for [name_f]Florence[/name_f] too, but my #1 is [name_f]Florrie[/name_f])
[name_f]Kaitlin[/name_f] - [name_f]Kate[/name_f] (just can’t get behind the [name_f]Kait[/name_f] spelling, but I knew a [name_f]Kaitlyn[/name_f] nn [name_f]Kaitie[/name_f], which I like)
[name_f]Libby[/name_f] - Libs ( I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Liberty[/name_f] nn [name_f]Libby[/name_f], but not the other way around)
[name_f]Macy[/name_f] - I’m not keen on either option here - I love [name_f]Macy[/name_f] and [name_f]Maisy[/name_f] but they’re virtually the same name sound wise, and [name_m]Mace[/name_m] is pepper spray to me.
