I vote for [name]Margot[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Sun[/name] M…
I voted before reading your comments. If I could re-vote, I’d choose [name]Sun[/name]. The personal significance is wonderful. [name]Margot[/name] [name]Sun[/name] flows very nicely, imo. Sunflower feels a little ‘out there’ to me. However, the more I see and think about [name]Margot[/name] [name]Sun[/name], the more I like it.
I would skip [name]Rose[/name] in this case because the repeated long O is too prominent and distracting. Also, I’d skip [name]Amelie[/name], largely because - with first and last names starting with M - a middle name with M too risks overdoing the M sound.
[name]Margot[/name] [name]Sun[/name] M_____ is my recommendation.
I definitely vote for [name]Sun[/name]! I actually think [name]Margot[/name] [name]Sun[/name] matches really nicely with [name]Tobin[/name] [name]Kai[/name] (2 syllables, 1 syllable, last name). And the personal connection to you can’t be beat. That would be a great story to tell your daughter when she asks about her name. Good luck! =]
I voted before I read your post too. I like your reason for wanting to choose “[name]Sun[/name]” but I don’t really like “sun” especially for a girl because it can be confused with “son”. [name]How[/name] about:
[name]Margot[/name] [name]Soleil[/name] (French for [name]Sun[/name]) or [name]Margot[/name] Mariesol (Mariesol = [name]Mary[/name] + sun in Spanish)
or… how about giving her the Korean word for sun as her middle name? ).
[name]How[/name] do you pronounce [name]Margot[/name]? I’ve wondered that my whole life. [name]MAR[/name]-gott? [name]MAR[/name]-go?
The French name [name]Margot[/name] is pronounced the same as [name]Margo[/name] (the “t” is silent).
[name]Margot[/name] [name]Sun[/name] would be fine to honor your heritage. I think it flows well. I also love [name]Margot[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name].
Dannikelli! [name]Rosalie[/name] [name]Sun[/name] was actually our front runner before we started considering [name]Margot[/name]. [name]Love[/name] that combo, reminds me of a rosy sunset. But I think [name]Margot[/name] suits our style a little more, and we dont want two middles. I think I am now wavering most between [name]Margot[/name] [name]Sun[/name] and [name]Margot[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name]. I do think [name]Margot[/name] [name]Rosalie[/name] sounds more beautiful, but there isn’t that extra special connection with my heritage. It is a meaningful name though: [name]Rosalie[/name] McFall is a song that my husband used to play for me on the guitar when we first started dating, a decade ago.
Thanks for all the input and Please keep the votes coming!
[name]Margot[/name] [name]Sun[/name] definitely. No name will ever sound as sweet as the one with genuine heartfelt meaning behind it.
Ok I’m convinced… Thanks so much everyone for your opinions! [name]Dulcinea[/name], your advice is on point, and taken to heart. Can’t wait to meet my little [name]Margot[/name] [name]Sun[/name]!
