I voted [name]Reid[/name]. It seems more name-y and less word-y. Although both are good. [name]Reid[/name]'s very handsome!
I think I actually prefer [name]Reed[/name], but I voted for [name]Reid[/name] because it has long been in my family.
I agree with [name]Ashley[/name], [name]Reid[/name] seems more name-y less wordy.
[name]Both[/name] are good… It’s a super great name… You can’t go wrong
I kinda like [name]Read[/name].
[name]Reid[/name]. I find double letters (ee) slightly less appealing.
I agree with ashley too!
Thanks guys! Its only been a few hours but can already see the majority going to [name]Reid[/name].
Another agreement with [name]Ashley[/name]. The [name]Reed[/name] spelling reminds me of the sticks for clarinets.
I actually prefer [name]Reed[/name] precisely because of it’s musical associations. To me, [name]Reid[/name] is so clearly a name for a red head, whereas the musical connection with [name]Reed[/name] gives it something a little extra. Metaphor: A reed, when used by a talented musician, makes beautiful music = Life, when utilized by a person with a good character, makes a beautiful existence.
Thanks for pointing that out javad, good point.
I actually didn’t realize the musical connection, where can i find more info on that? On here it lists both spellings with the meaning red-haired.
Depends on what you’re going for
I prefer [name]Reed[/name]. I’m a nature lover and have a musical background so [name]Reed[/name] hits 2 birds with 1 stone. [name]Reid[/name] feels cold and stuffy to me
Reeds are woodwind instruments. Some examples are clarinets, saxophones, and bagpipes
