Can you help me decide on a mn? We’ve decided to name baby [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] and we have an Irish last name ending in “y”. [name_f]My[/name_f] husbands pick is [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] [name_f]Hope[/name_f].
I am liking the sound of [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] [name_f]Mairead[/name_f], but is this too Irish sounding? I also love vintage/classic girls names so if anyone has a suggestion, I’d love it! I’m trying to have it sound nice with big sister [name_u]Riley[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. We already have a grace so not sure if using hope would be over doing the virtue theme!

Thank you!

I forgot to add that I’d love to honor my grandmother, [name_f]Mary[/name_f] who was called [name_f]Mae[/name_f], not sure if mairead would qualify?

I personally prefer [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] [name_f]Hope[/name_f] over [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] [name_f]Mairead[/name_f]. [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is very sweet.

Ok thank you. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband loves hope so much so we should probably just go with that. I do love the connection to my gma by using [name_f]Mae[/name_f], though!

I really the sound of [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] [name_f]Hope[/name_f] to be honest.

I like [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] [name_f]Hope[/name_f] the best out of the two options. But, I love the suggestion of [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] [name_f]Mae[/name_f].

I’m just not loving any mn, I guess! But these suggestions are helpful!
