Thanks all for your help in getting us to this point! Our baby boy arrived late last week and still needs a name! We are deciding between these two final options:
[name_m]Alfred[/name_m] (nickname [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] or [name_u]Freddy[/name_u])
[name_u]George[/name_u]
Big sister is [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] and often gets called [name_u]Harry[/name_u].
Thoughts?? I think I’m leaning towards [name_u]George[/name_u] but wonder if it’s a bit plain?
I love [name_u]George[/name_u] but if you want him to have a nickname since your daughter does, I would go with [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] “[name_u]Freddy[/name_u]”.
@VanillaMoff I also don’t really like [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] so your not alone! I love the name [name_u]George[/name_u] and even have it on my list! I think the name is gentle and darling for a little boy and unlike [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and even [name_m]Louis[/name_m], not associated with the royal family at all, I don’t really like [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] as the name sounds so nerdy to me! I actually know an [name_m]Alfred[/name_m] the same age as me, not so great person that now makes the name a bad association since there’s not a lot of [name_m]Alfred[/name_m]’s in [name_u]America[/name_u]
George! I don’t think it’s plain. [name_u]George[/name_u] is a classic, but unexpected – as in not as popular as [name_u]Oliver[/name_u] or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] are atm.
I know I’ve said this before, but I just adore [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] & [name_u]George[/name_u] as sibling names! Too perfect for words.
Both are very cute with [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], but I prefer [name_u]George[/name_u] [name_u]Gio[/name_u] or [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] are cute nn’s! And I don’t think the name is plain at all.
Definitely [name_m]Alfred[/name_m]! [name_u]Love[/name_u] the nn [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] and [name_u]Freddy[/name_u]… And actually [name_m]Fred[/name_m] is an awesome nn too.
