I come from a mixed family, my dad being Filipino. Though there has been better Asian representation in pop culture, there hasn’t been a whole lot from that corner of Southeast Asia. So when I decided to write my own superhero story, I wanted them to be Filipino. Meet Angel Santos (gender undetermined), whose entire origin is a mystery that starts in a lab.
I’ve got some power ideas and accompanying code names, but I don’t know which fits this character best. Your thoughts?
- Mistzap - the power to generate electric sparks and mist for their own uses. When the mist is ignited by those sparks, it creates fire.
- Rogue Wave - a hydrokinetic who falls in love with an Atlantean stand-in.
- Hellion - the power to absorb others powers, as well as other aspects.
