Ladies, what is your stance on the name [name_m]Walden[/name_m]? I was reading the book and the more I thought on it, I felt like it was pleasant name for a little boy, especially with the nn [name_u]Wally[/name_u], which is also the name of a close friend.
Is it too hippy dippy? Sometimes names sound like they are trying too hard to be cool - do you get that feel with this? Any other positive or negative connotations? [name_m]Just[/name_m] refining my list ahead of baby time
I have considered [name_m]Walden[/name_m] for a middle name. I can easily see it used as a first name. I personally am not fond of [name_u]Wally[/name_u]. I personally would not use a nickname.
I think its a great name for any age
[name_m]Walden[/name_m] always makes me think of ‘Two and a half Men’ but I think it’s a nice name anyways
[name_m]Walden[/name_m] feels like a nature name to me (much like [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]). I like it, but really dislike [name_u]Wally[/name_u]. [name_u]Denny[/name_u] is somewhat better.
It makes me think of [name_m]Walden[/name_m] Books. It isn’t necessarily a bad thing but, the name is just there.
I’m glad to see I’m not the only one who likes [name_m]Walden[/name_m]. I think it’d fit in perfectly with other -en names and yet stand out. It feels cool, but not like ‘trying too hard’. I love the nature and literary associations.
I hadn’t thought about [name_m]Walden[/name_m] as a first name but I think it’s pretty great!
This is the name we will probably choose for our next son born in 2 months (between [name_m]Walden[/name_m] and [name_m]Atticus[/name_m]). I really like the way it sounds. I just hope people don’t ever call him [name_m]Waldo[/name_m]! I am excited that you started a thread about this name!
[name_m]Walden[/name_m] is adorable! Reminds me of [name_m]Thoreau[/name_m]
