Walker for a girl?

Alright so I am starting to warm up to this name for my little one due next month. Have a daughter named sawyer , so would both end in “er” , don’t know if that’s too much. I like that they would both have unisex names. What are people’s thoughts? Or any other suggestions? I am open!

While I can see [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] on both genders, [name_u]Walker[/name_u] is simply too masculine for me - think [name_m]Paul[/name_m] [name_u]Walker[/name_u]. It’s, in my opinion, much ‘stronger’ than [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u], and I just think it’s better for boys (even though I am not really a fan of it on either hender).

Some suggestions:

I hope you find the perfect name! Good luck and congrats!

[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] and [name_u]Walker[/name_u] aren’t unisex, they’re masculine. Which if that’s what you like and want then okay, but you can’t stick any name on a girl and call it unisex.

[name_u]Walker[/name_u] is extremely masculine (in the top 500 for boys) and really not used on girls, unlike [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u], which was in the top 300 for girls. I’d recommend a name with a similar theme but used more often on girls…

I don’t really like [name_u]Walker[/name_u] for either gender. You might like:

[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] and:

[name_u]Shaun[/name_u] / [name_u]Shawn[/name_u]

Thank you all so much for the suggestions!

I think [name_u]Walker[/name_u] would work better on a boy. Possible sister names for [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]:

I like boys names on girls but [name_u]Walker[/name_u] isn’t my favorite. I do love [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] though!

Why not? [name_u]Walker[/name_u] with the right middle could be absolutely gorgeous.

It’s “ok” for a middle Maybe. But mostly boy to me because it makes me think of [name_u]Walker[/name_u] [name_u]Texas[/name_u] [name_m]Ranger[/name_m] lol🤠

[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] and [name_u]Walker[/name_u] are both surnames, so to those who perceive them as masculine, that’s what it is, a perception. I think [name_u]Walker[/name_u] is usable on a girl, but I personally do think it is too much “er”. Some others: [name_m]Darrow[/name_m], [name_u]Wren[/name_u], [name_f]Journey[/name_f], [name_u]Wylie[/name_u].

[name_u]Walker[/name_u] is very much a surname to me; I’m not a fan of it on a boy or a girl. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the suggestions of [name_u]Emmett[/name_u], [name_u]Ryan[/name_u], [name_u]Peyton[/name_u], & [name_u]Reagan[/name_u].
