I’m working on a story and need help naming my secondary character. It’s is YA Fiction (will be aged 12-16) about two sisters. One is a Wallflower and the second a [name_u]Wild[/name_u] Child.
For the [name_u]Wild[/name_u] Child, I want to use a Boho / Not-like-your-average-girl name. I’m between [name_f]Layla[/name_f] or [name_f]Lila[/name_f]. I mostly need help naming the Wallflower. The smart, studious, by the book sister. Here is what I have so far:
For [name_f]Layla[/name_f]: [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f], or [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f].
For [name_f]Lila[/name_f]: [name_f]Zara[/name_f], [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Bianca[/name_f], [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], or [name_u]Elia[/name_u].
Let me know which of these pairs you like the best? Should I mix-match any? Is there a different set you think conveys the message better?

Layla definitely feels more wild child, boho to me! [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is pretty but every [name_f]Lila[/name_f] I’ve known has been rather quiet actually lol. I think [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] fits the wallflower sister perfectly.

I like [name_f]Lila[/name_f] better, but [name_f]Layla[/name_f] does seem more “wild child”. As a sister I would pick [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] or [name_f]Hazel[/name_f].

These are a bunch of good options! Here are the names that I see as wallflower and wild child.
Wallflower:
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Eve[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]
Wild Child:
[name_f]Layla[/name_f]
[name_f]Lyla[/name_f] (more “hip” this way)
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_f]Bianca[/name_f]
[name_u]Elia[/name_u]
[name_f]Zara[/name_f]
I think [name_f]Layla[/name_f] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] or [name_f]Lila[/name_f] and [name_f]Eve[/name_f] are best if you’re committed to using an “L” name. Otherwise, I would say [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] and [name_f]Zara[/name_f] or [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f].

Hazel seems perfect to me.
For [name_u]Wild[/name_u] Child, I think that [name_f]Lila[/name_f] (maybe spelled [name_f]Lyla[/name_f]?) would be best, but [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] or [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] also came to mind…

yeah. if it’s the [name_u]Wild[/name_u] Child i think [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] or [name_f]Lylah[/name_f] would be better spellings.
