Would it bother you that they end in the same sound?
No. The fact that -uh is a common ending for names, particularly with so many girls’ names ending in -a, not a very prominent sound, and that on paper they’re different endings, doesn’t make it a problem in my book.
Am I missing something? It looks to me like they have completely different sounding endings.
[name_m]How[/name_m] I pronounce the names, they end in different sounds (er and nah). [name_m]Even[/name_m] if names end in the same sound it would not bother me.
Not remotely close. I love [name_m]Walter[/name_m]! [name_f]Marina[/name_f] is a let down after [name_m]Walter[/name_m]. I would prefer to see:
[name_f]Mary[/name_f]
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Molly[/name_f]
[name_f]Moira[/name_f]
Thanks for the response everyone. [name_f]Marina[/name_f] is to honor [name_f]Mary[/name_f]. I was also considering [name_f]Miriam[/name_f].
[name_f]April[/name_f] Fool’s right?
[name_m]Walt[/name_m]-ER and [name_f]Marin[/name_f]-A.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] them together though.
[name_m]Walter[/name_m] and [name_f]Marina[/name_f] do not have the same ending sound to me.
In Australia, [name_m]New[/name_m] Zealand and the UK Er and uh is pronounced the same so yes [name_m]Walter[/name_m] and [name_f]Marina[/name_f] end in the same sound for me but I don’t think they are too similar due to a differing number of syllables and difference in the starting sounds.
Depends. Are they for twins, siblings or otherwise? Twins: Wouldn’t matter, in fact I like it. Siblings: Not so good, but still okay.
P.S. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Walter[/name_m]!
They dont end in the same way for me. I love [name_m]Walter[/name_m] but not [name_f]Marina[/name_f]. I know too many of them, since its a very trendy name in my country. But i like them as a sibset.
