i have loved the name brooklyn for a long long time and it is pretty much the only name we agree on, but one of my friends recently named her child [name_u]Brooke[/name_u]… is it a major faux pas to name my baby [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u]?? i do no know what the etiquette for friends and baby names is… anyone have any insight??
Would the baby’s nn be [name_u]Brooke[/name_u]? If so, I would say pass. Otherwise, I would ask if it would be okay with her if you used [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u] and let her know that you’ve had your eye on it for quite some time. Good luck!
Are you really close? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you see each other a lot? I guess it depends on how close you are.
Why not ask her?
If it were me, I would find another name.
