our daughters names are all greek:
X.
C.
C. * (unfortunately she died during birth last year)
now we are getting a boy and are looking for a nice name. I think it will be nice if it is also greeks, but untill now we did not find a real click with the greek boy-names (most of them sound to special).
At this moment we think about C…, but I find it too common
I hope here are some creative spirits to help me! P(lease don’t mention the girls names in youre answer)
greetings,
Simone
ps I put some white/point in the names, because I don’t want to be found in search engines and so curious friends can’t search for the names
[name]Artemus[/name] is the name that came to my mind. [name]Artemis[/name] is actually a greek goddess, but [name]Artemus[/name] was used as the name for one of the main characters in the TV show The [name]Wild[/name] [name]Wild[/name] [name]West[/name]. [name]Artemus[/name] was a really cool character.
[name]Ulysses[/name] is of course Greek, but also the name of US President [name]Ulysses[/name] S. [name]Grant[/name].
[name]Hector[/name] is actually Trojan, but I don’t believe anyone considers it not Greek.
[name]Leonidas[/name] is Spartan, but again that’s basically Greek.
What gorgeous and unusual girls names! I really like [name]Clint[/name]. I know it is a completely different feel than your girls names, but I think that could be a good thing. It is completely male and solid as opposed to whimsical little girls.
my favorite greek name is Evangelos. It has the more common nn of [name]Evan[/name] or a spunkier [name]Van[/name] if he wants something shorter later in life. [name]Hope[/name] you find a name you love!
Thank you for your inputs. I could not login for a while, but now it goes right again. I will discuss some of the names tonight (I live in Europe), and let you know if I need some more creativity! @lori [name]Johnson[/name], the names top 3 you gave are already the names of my girls
[name]How[/name] about the boy name Castiel? It sort of reminds me of C… and maybe could be used to honor your angel baby. Castiel is the name of an angel also.
[name]Atticus[/name]- growing in popularity here, but still rare; Greek place-name
[name]Odysseus[/name]- I actually prefer the Greek pronunciation of this (Oh-Dih-[name]Say[/name]-Oos with accent on [name]Say[/name]) but everyone here will pronounce it the usual way. Still a great name.
[name]Ulysses[/name]- If you can get over the [name]James[/name] [name]Joyce[/name] and U.S. [name]Grant[/name] connections, this could be good
[name]Achilles[/name]- so handsome, but be prepared for everyone to make comments about “[name]Achilles[/name] heel”
[name]Orion[/name]- one of my top choices
[name]Apollo[/name]- strong, manly
[name]Adonis[/name]- a very handsome name, but a lot to live up to!
These are my favorite Greek boy names. [name]Hope[/name] this helps!
