Thought
[name_m]Ward[/name_m] Thackaray
Then
[name_m]Ward[/name_m] [name_m]Atticus[/name_m]
But now thinking …
?
Well neither of those middle names mean anything to me outside of that I like the way they look and sound and the feel of them. But they don’t have a connection or meaning to them that matters to me. Any suggestions?
Something with intrinsic meaning would be nice but a similar name or feel at least.
It doesn’t HAVE to have meaning beyond that you like it. But if you do like it I would encourage you to look into the meaning not just of the name but other prominent (primarily historical or literary) people who have shared the name. One of my top girl names ([name_f]Zenobia[/name_f]) entered my radar because I liked the look and sound but then after a quick search I found the story of a woman who would make an excellent role model (for the most part anyway.)
That’s true, I’m still hoping a name comes around that has a meaning that I <3 but I do like both of these. Any 3 syllable boys name suggestions are appreciated
It’s pretty difficult to just guess what is going to be meaningful to someone else. Why not try out the Nameberry Super Search feature? It’s at the top right of your web page. You can choose settings for gender, number of syllables, letters the name starts with, or ends with, or – yes-- type in different meanings you’re interested in finding! It’s a great tool for getting you started when you’re looking for something specific like this.
Also - don’t forget about family names, or heroes of yours! I know someone who is insane over [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Roosevelt[/name_m]. Well, you have two 3-syllable names right there. The possibilities are just waiting to be discovered!
Are there any family names you like? Perhaps the name of a place with special meaning to you?

[name_m]Ward[/name_m] is a wonderful name, short, solid, and manly.
I love [name_m]Thackeray[/name_m] and [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] is good too. Neither one of them sounds quite right with [name_m]Ward[/name_m] (to me, anyway). Something like [name_m]Ward[/name_m] [name_m]Robert[/name_m] I would prefer, though not necessarily that name. Two syllables maybe.
I appreciate all of your advice. And I’m glad you all like our picks!!
