Ways to get Pip

Hello Berries,
I’m loving the nickname [name]Pip[/name]. I would want more of a formal name because I don’t think [name]Pip[/name] ages well at all, but I’m not loving [name]Philip[/name].

Can anyone think of any other names to get [name]Pip[/name]?

I am seriously considering [name]Prosper[/name], nickname [name]Pip[/name] at the moment.
Another poster recently named her son [name]Peregrine[/name] nickname [name]Pip[/name], which I also think is lovely.

But maybe you want something a little less unusual?

I love unusual! I would love to meet a little [name]Prosper[/name], but it’s just not MY style. I’m not a fan of [name]Peregrine[/name], I tend to lean more towards simple names. Thanks for the suggestions, and I think you should go for [name]Prosper[/name]! Let me know if you think of any other names to get [name]Pip[/name]

[name]Piper[/name]
[name]Pepper[/name]
Piperal
[name]Christopher[/name]
[name]Peter[/name]

[name]Crispin[/name] and [name]Caspian[/name] nn [name]Pip[/name] are pretty quirky and not 100% intuitive, but I think they’d age fairly well.

I like [name]Piper[/name]! Could that work on a guy? I’ve only heard it for girls.

I think [name]Piper[/name] was originally boy since the nursery rhyme is [name]Piper[/name] picked a peck of pickled peppers… but I could be wrong

It’s actually [name]Peter[/name] [name]Piper[/name] so [name]Piper[/name] was the surname, not the first name.

The only thing I can think of is using a variant of [name]Phillip[/name] instead, such as [name]Felipe[/name] or [name]Philippe[/name].

[name]Felipe[/name] and [name]Philippe[/name] is still [name]Phillip[/name] (in sound). I don’t hate [name]Philip[/name], and I think I can actually grow to be quite fond of it. It’s just not really my style. I actually like [name]Piper[/name] better on a boy. I checked and it is unisex, but I wouldn’t want my son to be the only male [name]Piper[/name] in a school with 5 girl Pipers. I [name]LOVE[/name] pepper, but for a girl. It’s on my girl’s list

A friend suggested [name]Pacific[/name] to get [name]Pip[/name], but I don’t like [name]Pacific[/name]. It’s a good idea for other berries though! I’m also not a fan of [name]Crispin[/name], [name]Caspian[/name], [name]Christopher[/name], or [name]Peter[/name]. I’m picky.

I really love [name]Pip[/name] too and I’ve got it on my list as a nn for [name]Phillip[/name]. I didn’t like it at first but I’ve really grown to love it. I think its also a great nn for [name]Pippin[/name]. Here are some other more out there options:

[name]Cupid[/name]
[name]Pierre[/name]
[name]Pius[/name]
Kipling
[name]Ripley[/name]
[name]Agrippa[/name]

In the UK [name]Pip[/name] is often a nn for [name]Patrick[/name]
