[name]Just[/name] curious what other options there are to get [name]Tess[/name] or [name]Tessa[/name] as a NN…besides using tess, tessa or [name]Theresa[/name]???
Thanks! You Berries are so creative!

I think Tempest would be a good way to get to [name]Tess[/name] or [name]Tessa[/name].
You might be able to use [name]Beatrix[/name]/[name]Beatrice[/name].
I knew a Contessa who went by [name]Tessa[/name].
I’ve read that [name]Tess[/name] can be an obscure old nickname for [name]Elizabeth[/name], one of multiple T- nicknames that have fallen by the fashion wayside. I can believe it if you think about how many nicknames have been created by changing out the first letter, such as [name]Polly[/name] from [name]Molly[/name] or [name]Peggy[/name] from [name]Meggy[/name]-- [name]Tess[/name] is to [name]Bess[/name] what [name]Tetty[/name] is to [name]Betty[/name] and [name]Tibby[/name] is to [name]Libby[/name].
I think [name]Tess[/name] could arguably be a nickname for [name]Esther[/name] or [name]Estelle[/name] too. All the right sounds are there, just backwards.
Theodosia & Tiesa + Estera & Temperance, maybe.
[name]Tacy[/name] can be a nickname for [name]Anastasia[/name] and [name]Tacy[/name] and [name]Tessa[/name] sound kind of similar as do [name]Tasia[/name]/[name]Tessa[/name].
All I can think of is [name]Quintessa[/name]
