[name]Hi[/name]! I’m a new member on Nameberry, and this is my first thread. My dilemma is that I really love the nickname [name]Belle[/name], but the most common route, [name]Isabelle[/name], is a name I honestly despise. I was wondering if you guys knew any other ways to get to the nickname [name]Belle[/name] without using [name]Isabelle[/name]/[name]Isobel[/name].
I absolutely love [name]Isabelle[/name]! Too bad it doesn’t work for you, haha. What about:
[name]Annabelle[/name]
[name]Mirabelle[/name]
[name]Arabella[/name]/[name]Arabelle[/name]
[name]Bellamy[/name]
[name]Belinda[/name]
[name]Christabelle[/name]/[name]Christabella[/name]
[name]Maribelle[/name]
[name]Sybella[/name]
[name]Bellatrix[/name]
Carabella
[name]Clarabella[/name]
Miabella
[name]Rosabelle[/name]
[name]Adabella[/name]
[name]Bellerose[/name]/Bellarose/Bellarosa
Good luck!
What about just [name]Belle[/name]? I think it makes a fine stand alone name. I cannot think of any others that [name]Ash[/name] did not already mention.
Thanks [name]Ash[/name]! I really love [name]Mirabelle[/name]!
I like [name]Belle[/name] on its own!

I love Adorabella! I don’t know how I forgot that one. I wouldn’t use just [name]Adorabelle[/name], though–it sounds too close to “adorable” to me!
[name]Annabel[/name] is my favourite.
[name]Bellerose[/name] and [name]Belle[/name]/[name]Bella[/name] are nice. [name]Haven[/name]'t seen [name]Bellerose[/name] mentioned yet.
[name]Christabel[/name] is pretty but I can’t really use it, whereas [name]Annabel[/name] is in my in-real-life top ten.
Well why not just use [name]Belle[/name] as a full name? My gdaughter in named [name]Belle[/name] and her mn is [name]Maree[/name] and [name]Belle[/name] [name]Maree[/name] has a pleasant flow and could be used as a double barrelled first name if required.
rollo
I agree with the earlier posts, [name]Belle[/name] is fantastic on its own.
[name]Just[/name] use any name that ends or starts with -belle/bel and you get [name]Belle[/name] as a nickname.
[name]Belle[/name] is super on it’s own, but I do like [name]Christabelle[/name].
