I wasn’t a fan of this nn in theory, as it is a nail polish brand, but I just heard my upstairs neighbors call their little girl [name]Esther[/name], [name]Essie[/name]. I thought it sounds really cute! What other names could you get [name]Essie[/name] from??
I think it could work for a lot of names. Some that come to mind are [name]Vanessa[/name], [name]Esme[/name], [name]Cressida[/name], [name]Agnes[/name], [name]Alessandra[/name], [name]Elisabetta[/name], [name]Caressa[/name], [name]Tessa[/name], Esmeraude, [name]Esperanza[/name], [name]Estee[/name], [name]Estelle[/name], [name]Jessamine[/name], and [name]Floressa[/name].
[name]Esmeralda[/name]
[name]Esme[/name]
[name]Estelle[/name]
[name]Estella[/name]
[name]Hester[/name]
I like [name]Estelle[/name] nn [name]Essie[/name] the best
Great suggestions so far! The only one that I can think of that hasn’t been mentioned yet is [name]Odessa[/name].
What about a fist and then middle name to make the nn- ie [name]Sarah[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name], “S-E”= [name]Essie[/name]?
Wow, I seriously feel like smacking myself, [name]Odessa[/name] is on my list! I didn’t even think about it!! Ughh hahah
Keep the suggestions coming if you can everyone!!!
I love [name]Essie[/name]! It could also be short for Esyllt (or Eseld), [name]Elisabeth[/name] (apparently), or Estrill (which was used in medieval England) – but I like [name]Estella[/name] best, I think.
I actually like [name]Essie[/name] on its own. It’s on my list. There was an [name]Essie[/name] on [name]Anne[/name] of [name]Green[/name] Gables (unclear if it was a full name or nickname), and I know of an elderly woman (born circa 1910s, passed years ago) whose name was just [name]Essie[/name].
