I’ve started to love the name [name]Libby[/name] but I really dislike the full name [name]Elizabeth[/name]. Other suggestions? Is it too nick-namey to just be a stand-alone?
[name]Liberty[/name], [name]Olivia[/name]
Lillibet, [name]Elspeth[/name], [name]Elsbeth[/name]
This might seem a bit out there, especially if you are not Polish but I knew a little girl named [name]Elzbieta[/name] who was called [name]Libby[/name] and I loved. So maybe an international variant of [name]Elizabeth[/name]??
[name]Lisbeth[/name]
Elizabetra-perhaps too close to [name]Elizabeth[/name]
OR you could just go with [name]Libby[/name]-its a cute name on its own.
[name]Liba[/name] is a Hebrew name. It’s pronounced lee-ba though.
I’m fond of [name]Lilibet[/name]/[name]Lilibeth[/name].
I know a little girl named [name]Liberty[/name] who goes by [name]Libby[/name].
I found this link for you, may help:
I think [name]Libby[/name] is fine on it’s own!
If you want something else, how about a first/middle combo that lends itself to nn [name]Liberty[/name] -
[name]Lilah[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] or [name]Lila[/name] [name]Beth[/name] nn [name]Liberty[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Brynn[/name] or [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] nn [name]Liberty[/name]
[name]Luna[/name] [name]Brielle[/name]?? maybe a stretch
good luck!
I know a [name]Liberty[/name] who prefers [name]Libbie[/name]. I think [name]Libby[/name] is pretty as a given name too though and if you don’t love the long versions as much as just plain [name]Libby[/name] then just do [name]Libby[/name] I’d say!
I know a baby named just [name]Libby[/name] and I think it’s perfect on its own. I wouldn’t automatically assume that [name]Libby[/name] is short for anything longer. I think it just works.
[name]Aliza[/name]
[name]Eliza[/name]
[name]Lisbeth[/name]
[name]Elspeth[/name]
[name]Olivia[/name] can be shortened to [name]Libby[/name] too!
What about a name combo with the initials L.B… That could be nn [name]Libby[/name]. For example, [name]Lilly[/name] [name]Blythe[/name] or [name]Lila[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name], etc. That would give you a ton of options.
