Trying to get to [name_m]Mac[/name_m] with a longer form. Any ideas?
[name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u]
Maxson
[name_m]Cormac[/name_m]
[name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] (a bit of a stretch)
any Mc- surname-type name ([name_m]Macgregor[/name_m], [name_m]McCoy[/name_m], etc)
Of course, you could always give him a first and middle name combo that would yield [name_m]Mac[/name_m]. Matthew Carter, Martin Charles, etc.
My favorites are [name_m]Cormac[/name_m] and [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u].
I second the suggestions of [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] and [name_m]Cormac[/name_m]. I especially love [name_u]Mackenzie[/name_u] on a boy, It’s such a handsome name and it’s a shame that it’s not used for more often
Would you consider a [name_u]Max[/name_u]- name? [name_m]Plenty[/name_m] of lovely ones for all tastes.
You might like [name_m]Madoc[/name_m]?
I know a [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m] nn [name_m]Mac[/name_m] and it didn’t strike me as a stretch at all.
A favourite of mine that hasn’t been mentioned yet- McKay nn [name_m]Mac[/name_m]
I don’t know how to spell it, but I like Macklin.
I like [name_m]Malcolm[/name_m], [name_m]Cormac[/name_m] and [name_m]Madoc[/name_m] nn [name_m]Mac[/name_m]. Also possible is [name_m]Maddox[/name_m], Emeric.
[name_m]Cormac[/name_m] is my favorite. I actually think it would work for your various [name_u]Max[/name_u]- names as well.
Great suggestions, the only other one I could think of was McAllister or [name_m]Macallister[/name_m].

Any [name_m]Mac[/name_m]/Mc name would work. I would love to see those names on boys for a change. I think any [name_u]Max[/name_u] name could work, too.
