Ways to get to Remy

[name_m]Just[/name_m] for fun!

I love the name [name_u]Remy[/name_u] but feel like it’s to nicknamey to use on it’s own.

I just want suggestions please don’t tell me it’s a “Fine name on it’s own” [name_m]Just[/name_m] want full names for it.

[name_f]Renata[/name_f] [name_f]Maria[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_u]Marion[/name_u]

[name_m]Rembrandt[/name_m] is one I’ve heard for girls.

[name_m]Remington[/name_m].

Also [name_u]Artemis[/name_u], although that’s not really every ones cup of tea. Maybe [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]? [name_u]Remy[/name_u] is cute, but it feels nickname-y to me too.Maybe something like [name_u]Reagan[/name_u] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] nn [name_u]Remy[/name_u]?

@mimiottawa [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Renata[/name_f] [name_f]Maria[/name_f]
@caitthegreat [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_m]Rembrandt[/name_m] too
@rhiatayler [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_u]Artemis[/name_u] But I’ve always preferred it on a boy

Keep the names coming.

[name_u]Remy[/name_u] is only usable for boys. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] or [name_f]Renate[/name_f]?

@dantea I love Eremita

Eremita is a good option; it really makes sense for it to become [name_u]Remy[/name_u].

Remana is invented, but its close to [name_f]Romana[/name_f] and [name_f]Ramana[/name_f], which are real names.

And then I googled and got:
Rema
Remaziah
Remina
Remelle
Remella
Remiana
Remira
Remara
Remia
Remaya

To be honest, that’s simply not true. [name_u]Remy[/name_u] Maaddi is quite the lady. Her real name is Reham (pronounced “reh-hahm” she’s Egyptian-American).

My friend was supposed to be named [name_m]Remington[/name_m] if she was a boy, but now that she’s thinking of having her own kids, she’d like to use [name_m]Remington[/name_m] as a middle for her future daughter.

This one might be a stretch… but [name_u]Romany[/name_u]?.. it is only short of the ‘e’

A lot of these names are nice on here, [name_m]Remington[/name_m], [name_m]Rembrandt[/name_m], etc., but I’d like to point out that most of these are used solely for boys. I don’t know who [name_u]Remy[/name_u] Maadi is, but most of you are probably familiar with [name_m]Rembrandt[/name_m] van Rijn? [name_m]Rembrandt[/name_m] is a Dutch names that’s very rare, and when used, is used only for boys. It’s like [name_m]Ebenezar[/name_m]: rare, old-fashioned, and super weird on a girl.
And even though on Nameberry it lists [name_u]Remy[/name_u] as unisex, it’s unheard of for girls in the country of its origin, [name_f]France[/name_f]. I’ve heard it once in the US for girls, spelled as [name_u]Remi[/name_u], so I’d recommend that spelling if you plan on the nickname a lot.

[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Romilly[/name_f]?
