After really thinking about it, I am leaning heavily towards the name [name]Rose[/name] as a first name. My husband says it is bit boring though. As a compromise, he would prefer a longer version of the name which can then be shorten to [name]Rose[/name] as a nn. I have thought of [name]Rosalie[/name], [name]Rosemary[/name] and [name]Rosalind[/name]. I would love your opinions on these? Any others that I am missing?
I like [name]Rosalie[/name] best, but [name]Rosalind[/name] is also beautiful. Not too keen on [name]Rosemary[/name]. I’m reminded of the seasoning.
[name]Rozalia[/name] (prn: ro ZAHL ya)
[name]Roisin[/name] (ro-[name]SHEEN[/name])
[name]Rosamund[/name] (prn either: [name]ROSE[/name]-a-mund, ROZZ-a-mund, or ROZZ-mund)
I actually don’t think [name]Rose[/name] is boring at all. I have yet to meet one, in fact. It’s short, but short isn’t the same as dull.
[name]Rosaline[/name], [name]Rose[/name]-[name]Marie[/name], [name]Rosetta[/name], [name]Rosanna[/name], [name]Rosellen[/name]
Those are all i can think of. I love [name]Rose[/name]-names!
I like [name]Rosalie[/name] a lot! [name]Rosemary[/name] still feels a little stuffy old lady to me, although I’m warming to it. I’d love to see it used on someone else’s baby!
Other ways to get to [name]Rose[/name]:
[name]Primrose[/name]
[name]Rosamund[/name]
[name]Rosemarie[/name]
[name]Roseanne[/name]
[name]Rosa[/name]
[name]Rosina[/name]
[name]Rosita[/name]
[name]Rosetta[/name]
[name]Rosalyn[/name]
I like [name]Rosalind[/name]! [name]Rosalie[/name] is okay, but it sounds kind of trendy to me because of Twilight - I feel like it will sink in popularity really fast in a few years.
Sorry for repeats:
[name]Rosamund[/name]/[name]Rosamond[/name]
[name]Rosanna[/name]
[name]Rosaline[/name]
[name]Rosalinde[/name]
[name]Rosa[/name]
Melrose
I really like [name]Rosemary[/name], think it is due a revival.
Other long possibles:
Rhoslyn
Rhoswen
Ways to get to [name]Rose[/name]? Have you tried a dimension cannon? Sorry, little [name]Doctor[/name] Who joke to make fans laugh and cry at the same time. Anyway…
I love [name]Rose[/name] on it’s own. I think it got its reputation as being boring from being used as a filler middle name, but as a first name, it’s not as common. I like [name]Rosalie[/name] the best, but that was a Twilight name. I like [name]Rosalind[/name], too. Not a big fan of [name]Rosemary[/name], not sure why, but it is cute.
I second (third?) [name]Rosetta[/name].
I like the [name]Rose[/name] names-- [name]Rosamund[/name] and [name]Rosemarie[/name] are my favorites.
A few more–
Roselaine
Rosabel
Rosebeth
You could even use Rhodanthe (meaning rose blossom).
[name]How[/name] about [name]Rosaleen[/name]?
I like [name]Rosalind[/name] as well!
[name]How[/name] about [name]Rosie[/name] or [name]Rosey[/name]? My name is [name]Rosie[/name] and my friends shorten it to [name]Rose[/name]. My mam considered calling me [name]Rosemary[/name], but she went with [name]Rosie[/name] [name]May[/name] instead I like [name]Rosalie[/name] and [name]Rosanna[/name].
