My great grandmother was called [name_f]Verna[/name_f] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]. I would like honor her by using some name with [name_u]Lee[/name_u] in it. So far I have [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f], [name_u]Bayley[/name_u] and [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] (Ahm-uh-lee). For boys I have [name_m]Leon[/name_m] on my list. Suggestions are appreciated.
[name_u]Lee[/name_u] is a pretty easy one to honor
[name_f]Emily[/name_f]
[name_u]Paisley[/name_u]
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Julia[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Hallie[/name_f]
[name_f]Natalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
[name_f]Talia[/name_f]
For boys I like…
[name_m]Levi[/name_m]
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u]
[name_u]Elliot[/name_u]
We’re considering honoring a [name_u]Lee[/name_u] too, and since it combines so easily we’re thinking of using the opportunity to honor multiple people. I prefer my honor names to be a bit more on the nose than the ones you mentioned.
[name_f]Annalee[/name_f] - [name_f]Anne[/name_f] & [name_u]Lee[/name_u]
[name_f]Marilee[/name_f] - [name_f]Mary[/name_f] & [name_u]Lee[/name_u]
[name_f]Jolee[/name_f] - [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] & [name_u]Lee[/name_u]
Etc.
My favorites ~
[name_f]Lia[/name_f] (or [name_f]Leah[/name_f])
[name_f]Liana[/name_f]
[name_u]Lior[/name_u]
[name_f]Leora[/name_f]
[name_f]Leona[/name_f]
If you want to really honor her, use [name_u]Lee[/name_u] “as is” as the middle name. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t fool yourself into thinking that any name with the sound “lee” in it is a way to honor her.
