ways to lengthen Lucy beyond Lucia or Luciana

I cam across Lucibella on a nameberry list, and little to be found on this combo online, got me to thinking there must be other creative ways to lengthen [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] (I am not necessarily a fan of [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] or [name_f]Luciana[/name_f]).

I love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], even as a firstname itself!

But there’s always [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f], [name_f]Lucette[/name_f]/[name_f]Lucetta[/name_f] and even [name_f]Lucretia[/name_f], although I’m not a fan of the last one.

What about [name_f]Luciana[/name_f]/Lucianna? It can be pronounced [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]-[name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]-[name_f]Ana[/name_f], or loochee-ana

I love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] by itself. It seems sweeter, and the longer versions don’t do it justice.

I like [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f], [name_f]Lucero[/name_f], [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f], and [name_f]Lucilla[/name_f]. Can’t use any though.

[name_f]Lucasta[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucretia[/name_f] work visually but since the c is hard as in “[name_m]Lucas[/name_m],” [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] seems more of a stretch.

[name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] is definitely my favorite.

I like [name_f]Lucina[/name_f]. [name_f]Lucina[/name_f] is the [name_m]Roman[/name_m] goddess of childbirth. I really like the sound because it is more elaborate than [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], but has more substance than [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] and doesn’t seem as retro as [name_f]Lucille[/name_f].

I like the suggestion of [name_f]Lucina[/name_f] as well.

I love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] by itself! Although, [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucinda[/name_f] would be my favourite long form choices.

[name_f]Lucina[/name_f] is a name I discovered only after I changed my name, and I think I may have gone with that instead if I had found it earlier :slight_smile:
