Ways to Neely/Nel?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] again all,

My husband and I are still debating the [name_f]Frances[/name_f] issue from my last post, but we’ve found a couple of nicknames that we think would be perfect to use - [name_u]Neely[/name_u] and [name_f]Nel[/name_f]. We don’t want to use [name_f]Cornelia[/name_f], as we feel it’s too dated, and we’re not sure we like how serious [name_f]Helen[/name_f] sounds. I’m off to do some name research now, but does anyone know off-hand any other names that could get us to [name_u]Neely[/name_u] or [name_f]Nel[/name_f] for a nickname?

Also, if it helps, my husband is Palestinian and I’m Italian-American, so “cultural” names would work too.

I love the name [name_f]Nell[/name_f] on its own though personally.

If you don’t like [name_f]Helen[/name_f], maybe try [name_f]Helena[/name_f]/[name_f]Helene[/name_f]?

Here are some more I think could work. Sorry for any repeats!

[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]

[name_f]Chanel[/name_f]
[name_f]Elaine[/name_f]
[name_u]Angel[/name_u]

If you want to be adventurous, you could maybe try names that contain len/lene sounds as well.
