[name]Hi[/name] Berries!
Im super excited today because my husband and I will be finding out the genders of our double trouble thats on their way to joining our family.
Today is Valentines [name]Day[/name] already where we live and what my husband and I do is instead of finding out in a dingy old doctors office we get the doctor to write down on a card what we’re expecting and then my husband and I pick a date to open it and on the date we do something special. For our first born we opened it on the anniversary of the day we first meet at our favorite restaurant and for our second born we opened it on christmas morning!
Husbands working during the day but he has planned a special valentines date for this evening (and a babysitter booked, yay) so I’m looking forward to a night out and a special surprise!
While i spend the day with my boys anxiously and excitedly waiting I’m wondering if anyone else wants to share their way’s or fun stories of how they found out their baby’s gender.
My Brother in law and his wife have 3 children and they prefer to not find out before hand but what they do is on delivery day they have an agreement with the midwife and any nurses in the room that they don’t say anything and that my brother in law is the one who announces to his wife what their newborn is.
Simple but very cute. nice way to make it personal and keep it between the two parents.
I’m doing something that’s similar and different, if that makes sense. Tomorrow my family, boyfriend, and I are going to look at my ultrasound from the last doctor appt. and finally see who the newest person in our lives will be. Can’t wait, let alone sleep later tonight!
That’s a nice way to celebrate finding out, although I’d never be able to pull it off!
It wouldn’t have mattered whether DH and I had wanted to know or not. The first clear image to pop up on the sonogram screen was very obviously lady parts. I’ve seen enough sonogram pictures to know what I’m looking at for the most part, and there was no mistaking in this case!
@appy please knock off this ridiculous charade. You have no idea how idiotic that statement is. You’re going to look at a few grainy printed out images, which weren’t interpreted for you by the tech or doctor, and figure out the gender? For a baby due in [name]May[/name]? Your anatomy scan should have been about 2 months ago. Seriously, the pathological lying is disgusting-- especially since in the first post you, too, claimed to have been impregnated by a mysterious non-consenting adult, like your alter-ego “rainbows.” But now there is a boyfriend, and a family, how very sweet and touching.
My husband announced it when [name]Eldon[/name] came out. It was special and I was excited, but honestly I was more elated that he came out screaming that way I knew he was breathing. I had an accidental home birth since my entire first time labor was only 4 hrs. Talk about a surprise!
Well that’s annoying. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I have no problem with people posting fake stories if it makes them happy. I don’t give a flying frak. But if she’s pretending to have been raped that’s not okay. I just took a quick look at her post history. In one post she says she has no siblings and in another her brother [name]Lincoln[/name] is bringing home class rosters, she has a six year old brother saying adorable things in church, and “very sarcastic/witty siblings.”
Appy: If you really have been sexually abused or raped, get help. Not on this board, but there are plenty of places both on and off the internet that will get you some help. I have a feeling you’re the same little liar that’s been posting here for ages, abandoning accounts when you get caught and coming up with new stories. If you love names, make a new account (none of us will know it’s you) and just be yourself! I don’t have children nor am I pregnant but I post here! You don’t have to lie about who you are.
The user has been taken care of by the site admin now, she won’t be bothering us anymore with any luck. Let’s leave it at that and let the thread carry on
