WDY think about Alexandra?

What do you think about the name [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]? Is it too popular or mainstream? It’s definitely not a rare name, but do you think it’s tiresome and boring? I don’t plan on having children for at least another 5-10 years, so do you think it will increase in popularity or decrease (I try to avoid names in the top 100)? Tell me your thoughts.

I’ve always really liked [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - a strong but elaborate name with a couple of easy nicknames.

I don’t know what it will do popularity-wise but at least right now I feel like [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] and [name_f]Alexa[/name_f] get more use, so my guess is that [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] won’t see a drastic rise in the next decade or so.

I feel like [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] peaked a few years ago, so by the time you have children it probably won’t be very popular rankings-wise. I like [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]- it’s familiar, accessible for multiple cultures/languages, and has some nice nickname options. Personally I know a very smart person with this name so I always associate it with academia.

[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] has a strong, bold feel. It’s familiar but not too overused and it has multiple and versatile nicknames

I really love [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] myself! It was very popular during the 1990s and 2000s, and seems to be on a decline, so I don’t think you have to worry too much about it jumping back into the top 100

I love how versatile and wearable it is as well. It lends itself to so many sweet nicknames - [name_f]Ally[/name_f], [name_u]Alex[/name_u], [name_f]Lexa[/name_f], [name_u]Lexi[/name_u], [name_f]Andie[/name_f], [name_f]Annie[/name_f], etc. that I feel like it’ll never feel boring or overdone, there’s so many different ways you can make it unique.

Alexandra is my name! I love it personally. The only thing I would say about it though is that people automatically shorten it to Alex, and Alex is just not me! It is quite a long name, so it’s best to have a nickname ready in case people want to call you something shorter. Otherwise, I think it’s a great name!

I absolutely love [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] :dove:

To me [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is such a classic elegant name with a really strong regal sound. I think [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is completely underused she was kinda popular in the 90s/2000s (I knew 2 growing up but in different years at school) however I believe she has steadily declined and certainly will not be popular in 5-10 years time. For me [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is a very special name as she’s the name of the baby I lost so of course I hold [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] very dear to my heart.

Anyways in a nutshell She’s beautiful.

[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] is a classic. You can’t ever go wrong with it!

I’m not really a fan. It feels a bit bland, boring, and overused to me.
