[name_f]Amity[/name_f]: rarely used virtue names like [name_f]Amity[/name_f] always make me think of Puritans, but I think the right person could pull this off, and it has a cheerful sound to it.
[name_f]Annika[/name_f]: I think [name_f]Annika[/name_f] is a great choice. It’s rare but fairly recognizable and has a nice meaning (grace).
[name_f]April[/name_f]: I love spring, and the name [name_f]April[/name_f] always makes me think of yellow raincoats and tulip flowers. It doesn’t strike me as beautiful, but it’s charming.
[name_f]Arcadia[/name_f]: Sounds like “arcade” to me.
[name_u]Ariel[/name_u]: I think this is a nice choice. It has the feminine, princess-y appeal, but it’s also unisex, so I can see it suiting a variety of personalities.
[name_f]Arwen[/name_f]: I much prefer [name_u]Arden[/name_u]. [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] sounds a little weak to me.
[name_f]Aura[/name_f]: [name_f]Aura[/name_f] has a very pretty sound. It’s very bohemian to me. I do personally prefer the spelling [name_u]Ara[/name_u], especially as a nickname for the longer [name_f]Arabella[/name_f].
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f]: I should like this name because I like the word, but I don’t know if I do. I think the -um sound at the end is a little masculine sounding to me.
[name_u]Berry[/name_u]: not a fan of this. I can’t see anyone really pulling it off.
[name_u]Brooke[/name_u]: [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] is a pretty name, but I think it’s a bit past its prime.
[name_f]Callista[/name_f]: This name feels so formal to me, but it does have a nice lilt to it. I like the idea of calling a [name_f]Callista[/name_f] [name_f]Callie[/name_f] for short to make the name a little bit more accessible.
[name_f]Camille[/name_f]: I don’t love the sound of this for some reason. The MEAL ending sort of bothers me, even though I like the names [name_f]Mila[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. Maybe just having it as the end sound emphasizes that it sounds like “meal” and “mealy.”
[name_f]Cassandra[/name_f]: [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] is a bit '80s sounding to me, but it’s also a beautiful name and I think it would suit almost anyone.
[name_f]Catriona[/name_f]: Reminds me too much of [name_f]Hurricane[/name_f] [name_f]Katrina[/name_f].
[name_f]Celine[/name_f]: I like this name. It sounds and looks very sophisticated to me and it reminds me of [name_f]Celine[/name_f] from the movie Before Sunrise.
[name_f]Coraline[/name_f]: Reminds me too much of the horror movie.
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f]: This name sounds very posh to me. I don’t know if I like it very much, personally.
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]: I think [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] is such a sweet, fresh, and charming name. It reminds me of spring. I don’t like the [name_m]Gatsby[/name_m] association, though.
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]: I love the name [name_f]Daphne[/name_f]. It’s sweet and lively and feels a little bit underused to me.
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u]: I like this. It’s very charming.
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u]: Also a very charming name! I love the name [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]. It’s classic and pretty and reminds me of the whimsical [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] at the Plaza books
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f]: I like this name a lot. It’s so soft and beautiful.
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f]: Reminds me of ‘[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] the cow.’ Also feels more like a nickname to me.
[name_f]Emerald[/name_f]: This is a little bit tacky in my opinion, but I don’t know how widespread of a belief that is. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is definitely not considered a tacky name, so maybe I just need to hear it more and it’ll grow on me. The -ald ending throws me off, though.
[name_f]Eowyn[/name_f]: I don’t know how to pronounce this. For what it’s worth, I read “Eeyore” at first.
[name_f]Esme[/name_f]: [name_f]Esme[/name_f] is such a beautiful name and so timeless. I love it.
[name_u]Fable[/name_u]: A little too out-there for my taste, but I appreciate the whimsicality of this.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]: [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is a very lively, cheerful name. I don’t know if I can see it on everyone, though.
[name_f]Geneva[/name_f]: This is an interesting one. I’m not sure how I feel about it. I don’t usually love place names.
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]: Such an elegant, beautiful, classic name. I love the nickname [name_f]Evie[/name_f].
[name_f]Giselle[/name_f]: Not a fan. I just picture a gazelle, and then I picture the supermodel. I know those aren’t negative associations, but they’re a bit overwhelming.
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f]: Not a name I see everyone pulling off. It’s very long and Guin looks awkward as a shortened version.
[name_f]Helena[/name_f]: [name_f]Helena[/name_f] feels a little bit plain to me, but I think there are lots of people who would disagree with me. I don’t love the “Hell” sound.
[name_u]Indigo[/name_u]: I like this name. I love the nickname [name_f]Indie[/name_f].
[name_f]Ione[/name_f]: Not a huge fan of this.

[name_f]Isla[/name_f]: I love [name_f]Isla[/name_f], as well. It’s lilting and soft like [name_f]Lila[/name_f] but reminds me of the words island/isle.
[name_f]Jessamy[/name_f]: Not a fan of this at all, for whatever reason.
[name_f]Josephine[/name_f]: [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] is a beautiful name. I like the nickname options.
[name_u]June[/name_u]: I like this name, but I prefer [name_f]April[/name_f] (and [name_f]May[/name_f])
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u]: A little too out there for me (no pun intended, since it’s one letter away from [name_m]Jupiter[/name_m])
[name_f]Kate[/name_f]: This seems like a bit of a plain choice to me. I’d like it short for [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] or [name_f]Katerina[/name_f].
[name_f]Keira[/name_f]: I’d just spell it [name_f]Kira[/name_f]. [name_f]Keira[/name_f] is so heavily associated with [name_f]Keira[/name_f] Knightley (which isn’t a bad association, but it’s still sort of overshadowing in a sense).
[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f]: I instantly picture the old rich women in the Titanic movie when I hear this name.
[name_f]Leia[/name_f]: [name_f]Leia[/name_f] is such a beautiful name. I prefer it spelled Léa.
[name_f]Lila[/name_f]: [name_f]Lila[/name_f] is one of my favorite names in general. It’s multicultural and has such a stunning sound. I love saying this name out loud.
[name_f]Louella[/name_f]: Sounds sort of made up to me, but there’s something charming about it.
[name_f]Lucetta[/name_f]: Really not a fan of this. It reminds me of the word lettuce.
[name_f]Maisie[/name_f]: I love [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], even though it has the word “maze” in it so it does seem a little ditzy to me.
[name_f]Merida[/name_f]: Not a huge fan of the sound of this.
[name_f]Midori[/name_f]: Same as [name_f]Merida[/name_f].
[name_f]Mirella[/name_f]: I far prefer [name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f].
[name_f]Miriam[/name_f]: I think the right person could pull off this name. It’s so sweet on a little baby and I love the nickname [name_f]Miri[/name_f].
[name_f]Natalia[/name_f]: [name_f]Natalia[/name_f] is such a beautiful name. I think I’d consider it if I ever had a [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] baby.
[name_f]Nimue[/name_f]: Not sure how to pronounce this; phonetically I’m not a huge fan.
[name_f]Odessa[/name_f]: Definitely an interesting name, but I dislike that it doesn’t really have much of a meaning.
[name_f]Orchid[/name_f]: I love orchids, but I don’t think this makes a particularly attractive name.
[name_f]Romilly[/name_f]: I go back and forth on this name. I think I prefer [name_u]Romy[/name_u] on its own. [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] has a lot going on.
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]: Not a fan. I find this name incredibly difficult to pronounce.
[name_f]Sapphira[/name_f]: Interesting choice. I would’ve considered it to be a nice alternative to [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] except for the fact that the biblical [name_f]Sapphira[/name_f] is killed by god for being dishonest.
[name_f]Sonia[/name_f]: I like it. It’s a very sober, serious sounding name but has a nice sound.
[name_f]Sorcha[/name_f]: Is this meant to be a phonetic spelling of [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f]? I’m not a huge fan of the way this looks.
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f]: [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] is such a sweet, lively name with a vintage appeal and a whimsical sound and meaning.
[name_f]Thalia[/name_f]: [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] is a beautiful name, but I personally prefer the longer [name_f]Natalia[/name_f].
[name_f]Theia[/name_f]: Might be mispronounced constantly.
[name_f]Una[/name_f]: Not a huge fan of this.
[name_f]Vera[/name_f]: [name_f]Vera[/name_f] is an interesting name. It has a nice ring to it.
[name_f]Verity[/name_f]: Same feedback as [name_f]Amity[/name_f].
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]: I love this name. I like how similar it sounds to the word ‘vivacious’ and I like the nickname “[name_f]Vivi[/name_f].”
[name_u]Winter[/name_u]: I’m always miserable during winter so I can’t understand why anyone would name their daughter after gray skies, but that’s definitely a personal thing. [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is a pretty name.
[name_f]Yadira[/name_f]: Not a huge fan of the Yad sound.
[name_f]Zinnia[/name_f]: I like this name, but I prefer [name_f]Linnea[/name_f].
