These names I want your HONEST opinions on:

[name]Farrah[/name]: I just love this.
[name]Svetlana[/name]: I really like Swedish names, any suggestions?
[name]Immy[/name]: I have recently posted a thread on this, I really need a full name for [name]Immy[/name] (besides [name]Imogen[/name])
[name]Zelda[/name]: I know this is a comic book, but its a cute name, but I don’t know if I love it though… any similar suggestions?

Thanks

BTW, if you have any questions about my threads or whatever, I [name]WILL[/name] answer them!!

[name]Farrah[/name]: I like this, and think it’s been long enough since [name]Farrah[/name] Fawcett was uber-popular that it’s no longer automatically associated with her
[name]Svetlana[/name]: Um, NMS. Makes me think of a spy.
[name]Immy[/name]: Not a huge fan, but interested to see what you decide on to get to this as a nickname
[name]Zelda[/name]: I do love this one. If you’re not convinced, what is it about [name]Zelda[/name] that you like? Maybe that wil help lead to one you love.

Alternatives for [name]Svetlana[/name] & [name]Zelda[/name]
[name]Astrid[/name]
[name]Britta[/name]
[name]Elsa[/name]
[name]Hanna[/name]
[name]Lana[/name]
[name]Leda[/name]
[name]Linna[/name]
[name]Lovisa[/name]
[name]Saga[/name]
[name]Sanna[/name]
[name]Tindra[/name]
[name]Zadie[/name]
[name]Zaina[/name]
[name]Zanna[/name]

[name]Farrah[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] it.
[name]Svetlana[/name]- Definitely makes me think of a sultry lady, but that could be a good thing later in life.
[name]Immy[/name]- Cute! Short for [name]Amelia[/name], [name]Emily[/name], or [name]Miriam[/name], perhaps?
[name]Zelda[/name]- yes. THIS!

[name]Farrah[/name]: I don’t like it, it sounds coarse.
[name]Svetlana[/name]: Reminds me of “light” and “saint”, so I’m quite unsure. I like the sound of it.
[name]Immy[/name]: As a nickname, It’s cute.
[name]Zelda[/name]: Like this one, my favorite out of the four. It has a nice sound.

[name]Zelda[/name] is my favorite on your list. I didn’t know about the comic book–I immediately thought of [name]Zelda[/name] [name]Fitzgerald[/name]- F [name]Scott[/name] [name]Fitzgerald[/name]'s wife and the Great [name]Gatsby[/name] Good luck!

[name]Farrah[/name]: I think this is really, really pretty. My favourite from this list.

[name]Svetlana[/name]: I don’t like the “svet” sound. The [name]Lana[/name] part is pretty.

[name]Immy[/name]: Cute nn, and I’m not fond of [name]Imogen[/name] either. The only other name that starts with “Im” I can think of is [name]Imelda[/name]. Which rhymes with [name]Zelda[/name]! So, maybe you’ll like it!
Other ideas (these are a bit more of a stretch than [name]Imogen[/name] or [name]Imelda[/name], but here goes):
[name]Kimberly[/name] nn [name]Immy[/name]
[name]Simone[/name] nn [name]Immy[/name]
[name]Imara[/name] nn [name]Immy[/name]

I can’t think of anything else!!

[name]Zelda[/name]: I like this, but as someone who doesn’t play videogames, I still associate it with a video game! Other Z names…[name]Zara[/name], [name]Zola[/name], [name]Zinnia[/name]…and [name]Imelda[/name] is similar too!

I don’t like [name]Farrah[/name] at all, I have very negative associations with it.
[name]Svetlana[/name] I like, it’s very seductive though.
[name]Immy[/name] I’m no fan of.
[name]Zelda[/name] is too video gamey for me. :frowning:

Perhaps you’d like [name]Zara[/name]?

I love [name]Zelda[/name].

[name]Farrah[/name]: I think of the late actress [name]Farrah[/name] Fawcett (big hair and teeth). Fawcett’s mother supposedly made up her name. I prefer the Arabic spelling of [name]Farah[/name] which is a real name. It has a pretty sound and it’s not overused.

[name]Svetlana[/name]: This name is Russian not Swedish. It’s exotic but I think the “Svet” part isn’t really that pretty.

Russian names: [name]Anastasia[/name], [name]Natalia[/name]/[name]Natasha[/name], [name]Tatiana[/name], [name]Oksana[/name],[name]Olga[/name], [name]Vera[/name], [name]Larissa[/name]/[name]Lara[/name], [name]Anya[/name], Ludmilla, [name]Raisa[/name], [name]Sonia[/name], [name]Valentina[/name], [name]Tania[/name]/[name]Tanya[/name], [name]Irina[/name], [name]Hana[/name], [name]Galina[/name], [name]Daria[/name], [name]Alina[/name], [name]Aleksandra[/name] and [name]Nadezhda[/name].

Swedish names: [name]Greta[/name], [name]Frida[/name], [name]Linnea[/name], [name]Sonja[/name], [name]Siri[/name], [name]Thora[/name], Svea, [name]Signe[/name], [name]Ingrid[/name], [name]Freya[/name], [name]Astrid[/name], [name]Britt[/name] and [name]Annika[/name].

[name]Immy[/name]: Too nicknamey for a full name. Not my favourite nn either.

[name]Zelda[/name]: I think of the literary association with F. [name]Scott[/name] [name]Fitzgerald[/name]'s wife [name]Zelda[/name] more than anything else. [name]How[/name] about [name]Zola[/name], [name]Zara[/name], [name]Zillah[/name] or [name]Zilpha[/name]?

[name]Farrah[/name]: pretty
[name]Svetlana[/name]: mail order bride and/or prostitute
[name]Immy[/name]: nn
[name]Zelda[/name]: Spellman ([name]Sabrina[/name]'s aunt)

[name]Farrah[/name]: I just hear [name]Sarah[/name] with an F, since I wasn’t around yet when [name]Farrah[/name] Fawcett was popular.
[name]Svetlana[/name]: Pretty, but I think it’s so stereotypically Swedish that I can’t see it on a person.
[name]Immy[/name]: Cute nickname, but I prefer [name]Emmie[/name].
[name]Zelda[/name]: I play some [name]Legend[/name] of [name]Zelda[/name] video games, so I think of that, but it really is a cute name, and very pretty. I also think there was a historical figure with the name, so it’s especially nice if you know of her and like what she did.

[name]Farrah[/name]: I love. And I definitely think Fawcett instead of Teen Mom!

[name]Svetlana[/name]: Pretty sure this is Slavic…maybe it’s getting use in [name]Sweden[/name], but I dont think its a Swedish name. Other Slavic names you might like:
[name]Mira[/name]
[name]Kinga[/name]
[name]Nadia[/name]
Zoryana
Zlata
[name]Kalina[/name]
Denitsa (I love nn [name]Deni[/name] and it means “sea”)
[name]Nina[/name]

[name]Immy[/name]: I actually love the sound of it, especially for [name]Imani[/name] or [name]Simone[/name]. Seeing your other choices though, maybe you’d prefer [name]Simona[/name]?

[name]Zelda[/name]: I love [name]Zelda[/name], very tied to [name]Fitzgerald[/name] in my mind though, so love it, but there is a little tragic edge.

My faves from your list are [name]Zelda[/name] and [name]Farrah[/name]… although with the lack of love it’s getting in this thread, I’m wondering if it’s because it’s said FAIR-uh in the US vs. FAR-rah (UK/commonwealth countries)…

FAR-rah-- so much classier sounding. [name]Love[/name] it. And incidentally [name]Mischa[/name], I actually know an Arab/caucasian wearer of this name… and she spells it with a double r, which she prefers.

I like [name]Zelda[/name] the best, by far.

[name]Svetlana[/name] = every second middle-aged woman in [name]Russia[/name].

[name]Immy[/name] - only a nn, for me. [name]Imogen[/name], I love.

[name]Farrah[/name] - will always be ‘Fawcett’, to me. Not a bad thing, and actually kind of a pretty name.

[name]Farrah[/name]- I still think of [name]Farrah[/name] Fawcett. But once that reference fades away, it could be popular.
[name]Svetlana[/name]- I’m pretty sure it’s a Russian name, not Swedish. Maybe it’s used in [name]Sweden[/name]? Either way, I don’t care for it. It seems really out of date, or guilty-pleasure-esque.
[name]Immy[/name]- I can’t think of it being anything but a nickname. Like Jeska, I love [name]Imogen[/name].
[name]Zelda[/name]- Since I don’t play video games, I think of [name]Zelda[/name] [name]Fitzgerald[/name], not the video game character.
[name]Hope[/name] that helps!

[name]Farrah[/name]: Far too stuck on [name]Charlie[/name]'s Angels for me.
[name]Svetlana[/name]: This is Russian, and not my favourite Russian name at that. [name]Astrid[/name], [name]Ingrid[/name], [name]Anja[/name]…? Or [name]Ekaterina[/name], [name]Valeria[/name], [name]Katia[/name]? (Russian again)
[name]Immy[/name]: Immanuelle? [name]Imogenia[/name]? [name]Iman[/name]?
[name]Zelda[/name]: I adore [name]Zelda[/name], but it’s a family name for me. Other ideas… [name]Zinnia[/name], [name]Zara[/name], [name]Zillah[/name]? Or [name]Gilda[/name]/[name]Golda[/name], [name]Hilda[/name], [name]Elda[/name]?
