[name_m]Augustine[/name_m]. What do you think of it? My husband and I came across it the other day and we both like it but aren’t sure. Is it too much name for a little boy? Does it sound too formal or traditional? Nickname would be [name_m]Augie[/name_m] and middle name [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m].
I like it but much prefer [name_m]Augustin[/name_m]. I do think both are maybe a bit much on a little boy but Auggie or [name_u]August[/name_u] or [name_u]Gus[/name_u] are all cute nicknames that work well on a child.
I love it, and [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_m]Augustin[/name_m]. I think it’s wearable, especially with a relaxed nickname like [name_m]Augie[/name_m] or [name_u]Gus[/name_u], but I personally would pair it with something simpler and more down-to-earth than [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m]. That would be a lot of name together!
I love it when pronounced ah - [name_u]GUS[/name_u] - tin.
Not a huge fan of aw - [name_u]GUS[/name_u] - teen just because I associate it so strongly with the city in [name_f]Florida[/name_f] and the sound isn’t as appealing
but with the first pronunciation, I definitely do not think its too much - very distinguished, handsome, and strong but not weird.
i agree with previous posters that with [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] it might be a lot.
It’s too much name for me, both for a baby and a grown man. I think [name_m]Augustin[/name_m] might be hard to wear too, although I do like [name_m]Augustin[/name_m]. [name_u]August[/name_u] seems much more wearable.
