Wdyt of Adelaide?

Where I live Ithink it is seen as an older name that is out of fashion
So I’m not sure if I picture it on a little girl, but I do love the nn [name_f]Ada[/name_f]
The same goes for [name_u]Antonia[/name_u] and [name_f]Valeria[/name_f] which I also love
What do you think of these names?? Are they old fashion? Usable on a little girl?

I love those names, and I do really think they are useable for a little girl.

I love [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]! It’s sweet and charming. I actually feel like it’s starting to have a revival, especially because of its similarity with [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_u]Addison[/name_u]. [name_u]Antonia[/name_u] and [name_f]Valeria[/name_f] are usable too.

Adelaide “[name_f]Ada[/name_f]” is so sweet! I could definitely see that on a little girl! [name_u]Antonia[/name_u] and [name_f]Valeria[/name_f] are beautiful, but for me I think they are a little hard to picture on a baby.

I love [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] in theory, it has such amazing nickname potential and just sounds so regal. Unfortunately, I live in an area with a fair bit of [name_u]French[/name_u], and I speak it myself, so as much as I want to focus on the good of the name my attention is always drawn to the “laide” part of the name, which means “ugly” in [name_u]French[/name_u]. It’s not a huge huge deal, and I’m sure even most [name_u]French[/name_u] people probably wouldn’t notice, but it bugs me too much for me to ever really consider using it in real life.

All are definitely usable! [name_u]Antonia[/name_u] feels the most dated to me, but I still really like it!

I don’t hear the “laide” when I say the name out loud, it’s just something that I see when it’s written out. It’s just a personal thing for me, like I said I’m sure most people, francophone or otherwise, wouldn’t care a bit about it, I just have a tendency to way overthink names
