WDYT of Angelo?

I was reading our local paper and there was a birth announcement and baby was called [name_m]Angelo[/name_m]. What do you think of when you hear the name [name_m]Angelo[/name_m]? Is it too Italian for a non Italian baby? Could it be used in any profession? What possible nicknames could arise from it?

Thanks

I love [name_m]Angelo[/name_m]! I know an [name_m]Angelo[/name_m], and he’s not Italian, but [name_m]German[/name_m], blond and blue eyed. He’s adorable. So I don’t think it’s too Italian for a non-Italian baby, but I can see why other people would think so.
The only nickname I can think of is [name_u]Angel[/name_u].

I know an [name_m]Angelo[/name_m] so I think of him when I hear this name (strong and kind). He is Italian, but I think it could work for any nationality (like all [name_f]Jane[/name_f]'s are not necessarily English). If people want to be really annoying they might elongate the last two syllables G-elo = jello but it’s a stretch.

[name_m]Angelo[/name_m] is a good sounding name, but I highly associate it with Italians/Italian culture. I guess he could be called [name_u]Angel[/name_u], but that’s about it.
