WDYT of Aurora Xanthe?

I’ve sort of fallen for this over the past 24 hours, and I’m looking for opinions on [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]. I’ve been loving [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] as a FN for a while, and [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] as a MN for a while, and solves my dilemma of what in the world do I pair with ____? I’m not 100% convinced on the combo, which is why I’m posting about it, but I like it a lot more than a lot of the other options I’ve come up with over the past several months where [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] has stumped me. My only other options at this point are [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] or [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Rachel[/name_f]; [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is very significant to me.

If you don’t like it, what would you suggest? I’m open to just about anything at this point–I love spunky/princessy/international sorts of names.

Would it fit in with names like [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]/[name_f]Arianne[/name_f] [name_f]Dagmar[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] (obviously not this name specifically–[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] and [name_f]Arianne[/name_f] are much too similar for sisters!), [name_f]Adele[/name_f] [name_f]Sofia[/name_f] [name_u]Eloise[/name_u], [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_u]Dagny[/name_u] [name_f]Hope[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Odilia[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Cosima[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_f]Cecile[/name_f], [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] [name_u]Hero[/name_u] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Madelief[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Isabella[/name_f], [name_f]Liv[/name_f] [name_f]Rosina[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] Pasqualina, etc., etc.?

Tentatively I’m thinking of [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] for a full combo ([name_f]Jane[/name_f]'s a family name), although I figured I’d tackle a family name once I’ve actually decided on whether or not to keep [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f].

Thanks, Berries!

Georgia[/name_f]]I understand EXACTLY what you mean. I actually like the way it looks, exotic and yet sweet. But I have to say that [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] seems to be the eye-catching one to me. (I also may be biased as my name is [name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f]) But I really like it. [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] is a name you don’t see very often but I think maybe it would be better suited with a softer name.

As for [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] I love it. It’s a less common name and I think it’s a beautiful one. I am a fan of [name_f]Roe[/name_f] as a nn.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] I helped

I rather like it, and as I doubt you will be calling her by her full name often, I think it could work. But I kind of really love the name [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] and wish I were bold enough to use it.

To have a name flow with [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] in the middle, I think you’d want a one, three, or four syllable first name that doesn’t end in an E sound. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] fits that.

I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this combo! [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is a very sweet, delicate name, and paired with [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] it really gives it strength and some zest behind it. I am in love

Thanks, ladies! I’m still in a bit of a conundrum, but I’m thinking that [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] could be the one if I could find the perfect second MN. It’s interesting that some think that [name_f]Aurora[/name_f]'s too strong for [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f], and others think it’s just soft enough.

Anyone else want to weigh in? If I don’t do [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f], I’m not sure what I’d do instead. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Lily[/name_f] (and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Rachel[/name_f]) doesn’t appeal to me as much as I wish it did.

Those two names are exactly my style, but I don’t think they work as a combo, the flow just doesn’t seem to be there

I love, love, love [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]! It’s perfect, and [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is so beautiful. I really hope you continue to love this combo.

I really like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f]!

Thank you! I certainly hope I do, too.

Something about [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] seems off to me, the more I’ve thought of it, but hopefully I can find the right combo soon!

I agree with everything Brenae said although, for some reason, I love [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] because I find it both soft AND strong! I think the As and the lack of plosives makes it sound soft, but the Rs make it feel strong! Regardless, the combination sounds AWESOME!

Given that the Name [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is really important to you, how about adding a Second Middle Name that means [name_f]Lily[/name_f] - [name_f]Suzette[/name_f]? For me the Combination is PERFECT:

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] [name_f]Suzette[/name_f]! <3
