WDYT of Bevin?

Issues:

[name]Sib[/name] set of Bs. (Siblings: [name]Brendan[/name] and [name]Bridget[/name]).
Husband thinks name sounds snooty and/or invented. Hard to convince him otherwise, even though its an old Irish name.

Thoughts/opinions welcome.

I don’t know…I like [name]Devon[/name] on a girl, but not [name]Bevin[/name]. It sounds a bit made up & reminds me of [name]Beryl[/name].

My old boss has a 20 year old daughter named [name]Bevin[/name]. I like it. Definitely not very common but definitely not made up!

Im not a fan… to me it does sound made up especially compared to [name]Bridget[/name] and [name]Brendan[/name]…

other than the suggestion above… maybe [name]Brady[/name]?

I know someone in their early 30s named [name]Bevin[/name]; I think its cute and interesting.

I really don’t like it at all. I’d never use and would personally hate having it as my name.

[name]Bevin[/name] was a character on one tree hill, so to me it doesn’t seem made up at all

I think its cute and would work with the sibset - it won’t be hard to spell and its recognizable, yet very uncommon.

I know 2 Bevins one is female one male both are in their twenties. It actually fits them both very well. It turns out they are both very artistic and quirky. So I love the name, its on my list too.

I’m not a fan but I don’t have a good reason why. It sounds masculine to me (although I realize it’s a girl’s name)–makes me think of bevelling machines.

I grew up with a [name]Bevin[/name] and she is awesome! She has a little baby of her own now, [name]Bridget[/name] called [name]Bridey[/name]. Good luck!

[name]Bevin[/name] isn’t the worst name in the world, but the sound just doesn’t appeal to me, and I personally would want to avoid having all my children’s names start with the same letter.
