[name]Just[/name] curious what others think of the name [name]Bishop[/name]. I am on the fence about the name…
For me, when I hear [name]Bishop[/name], I think of Pope. What about [name]Deacon[/name] or [name]Shepherd[/name]? (For some reason, [name]Deacon[/name] is less churchy for me!)
I think of [name]Deacon[/name] as less “churchy” too. Maybe because a deacon isn’t a priest like a bishop is…
It is not really at the top of my list of names… I m catholic and automatically think of mass. But I don’t think it is a bad choice for some one thats not me haha
[name]Bishop[/name] doesn’t bother me the slightest bit. It’s got a surnamey feel that appeals and as such, works for me. Especially in the middle. I can’t think of any decent nicknames for [name]Bishop[/name], either, which is another point for middle use, for me. I suppose he’d be fine up front as well. As long as his mother wasn’t a consumate nicknamer like me!
I think Appellation Mountian covered [name]Bishop[/name] the other day? Yep:

I’m not a fan of [name]Deacon[/name], I find his sound too sharp to be attractive but [name]Bishop[/name], I like!
[name]Lola[/name], I am with you on [name]Deacon[/name] vs [name]Bishop[/name]. Althougth both names make me think of mass I do prefer [name]Bishop[/name].
I like surnames on boys but [name_m]Bishop[/name_m] feels like a title as in [name_m]Bishop[/name_m] [name_m]Jones[/name_m], etc. If you really like it I would suggest using it in the middle spot.
