What does everyone think of [name]Carys[/name]? The meaning is just wonderful and it is really appealing to me lately. [name]Do[/name] you think it will age well? Any MN suggestions?

I absolutely love [name]Carys[/name]. I visited [name]Wales[/name] when I was 17 and fell in love w/ the country. Unfortunately no one else in my family ‘gets’ Welsh names but [name]Carys[/name] is a beautiful choice, the meaning is wonderful.
I like the look of [name]Carys[/name] but the pronunciation of [name]Cerys[/name]
From my understanding, [name]Carys[/name] is “ka-ris”, like the beginning of [name]Carissa[/name] while [name]Cerys[/name] is “care-is”
I’m honestly not a fan, sorry. 
It’s got a lovely meaning, and I think the sound is nice, but I don’t think it looks very appealing. And as someone with Welsh blood, it sort of irks me that when people seem to look at Welsh names, they’re always like, “Oh, there’s [name]Carys[/name]!” And then they stop looking, it’s like [name]Carys[/name] is the only beautiful Welsh name out there to some people, and it’s not. So that kind of bothers me, haha. I think for that reason I keep pushing [name]Carys[/name] away, even though it is very nice. I’ve always liked other Welsh names more, anyway ([name]Eleri[/name], [name]Betrys[/name], [name]Adara[/name], [name]Lili[/name], [name]Gwendolen[/name]–[name]Gwendolen[/name]!). But I have seen it in combos where I really like it–[name]Annabel[/name] [name]Carys[/name], and [name]Carys[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name] nn [name]Cara[/name]…
And yes, I definitely think it ages well. 
I think [name]Carys[/name] is beautiful, one of my favourite Welsh names.
I grew up with a girl named [name]Kari[/name] (car-ee) so I think it’s very wearable. It’s a lovely name, though I prefer the pronunciation of [name]Cerys[/name].
I think it is lovely and would age very well. Not my cup of tea though. There is a lot of other names I just love more.

I will mention, however, that you will get a lot of mispronounciation with this name which could be a major drawback to you. From what I hear, a lot of people will say Carries - as in plural of the name [name]Cary[/name]/[name]Carrie[/name] I guess.
[name]Love[/name] the name me and my DH are going to use it for our little one due in feb, but using the spelling [name]Cerys[/name]. The mn we really like a the moment is [name]Cerys[/name] [name]Eliza[/name] [name]Rose[/name], sounds better with one long middle name or two shorter ones with 2-1 syllables. Plus like how it’s sounds with her brothers name [name]Tristan[/name]. [name]Hope[/name] you go with it!!
