There’s a little girl named Chasyn in my class and I thought it was interesting that she took a boys name and placed the yn at the end to make it feminine. Thoughts on the name? I personally don’t know if it’ll grown on her. A lot of parents now (just speaking in general) are naming their kids trendy.
It sounds like a verb a la, “Well, I was out chaysin’ that durn chicken, but he got away when I slipped in the mud.”
If I heard it was a name, I’d expect it to be on a boy, at least.
I don’t like it at all…tryndee and its a boys name…not good at all
This. It’s just not pretty at all and there’s nothing feminine about it.
i know its a trend, but it doesn’t do anything for me - it’s so obviously contrived, which removes any sense of personality or meaning from it.
It looks like someone threw together some letters. It took a minute to figure out what it was supposed to spell (and I have a 17yr old cousin named [name]Chason[/name]). I though “chaz-zin” at first
I don’t understand taking a boy name that ends in -son and changing it to -syn. That doesn’t make it feminine, that makes it misspelled and mispronounced. “chay-[name]SON[/name]” sounds better than “chay-SIN”
A name like that isnt gonna get much love around here–
Its a little wacky–The spelling included.
But its not terrible.
Better on a boy.
Lol @ mei_mei----"Well, I was out chaysin’ that durn chicken…
I thought chasin’ as well, the short from of chasing… I don’t like it.
Vouch.
QFE.
I don’t like it at all. It sounds like 95% of the other trendy names… it doesn’t capture my attention.
@mel_mel my thoughts exactly!
There is nothing I like about this name.
I wasn’t planning on using the name. I wanted to know what you all thought and I agree.
Oh I knew you didn’t want to use the name! That’s why I was so blunt. If I’d thought you really wanted to use it,I wouldn’t have commented at all lol
