WDYT of Ephram?

I am a big fan of [name_m]Ephram[/name_m], nn. [name_u]Remy[/name_u]. I prefer this spelling to [name_m]Ephraim[/name_m] or [name_m]Ephriam[/name_m]. I should note, pronounced “eff-rum” rather than the traditional pronunciation.

I’ve yet to run it past DH, but I doubt it will be approved… what are your thoughts, do you like it?!

Also, our top girl name is [name_f]Norah[/name_f]. Would a sibset of [name_f]Norah[/name_f] and [name_m]Ephram[/name_m] just remind people too much of [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_m]Ephron[/name_m] or does it work?!

It’s ok. It really doesn’t go with [name_f]Norah[/name_f] stylistically though. Idk who [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_m]Ephron[/name_m] is

I absolutely adore [name_m]Ephraim[/name_m]/[name_m]Ephram[/name_m] (with the Eff-rum pronunciation) and [name_u]Remy[/name_u]. I think it’s sweet, soft, and boyish, with a splash of fun and adventure. [name_f]Norah[/name_f] and [name_m]Ephram[/name_m] go together well in my opinion, and I wouldn’t have thought of [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_m]Ephron[/name_m] at all if you hadn’t pointed it out (plus I barely recognised the name in the first place).

While I like the the [name_m]Ephraim[/name_m] spelling, I think [name_m]Ephram[/name_m] goes great with [name_f]Norah[/name_f]!

And honestly I’ve never met anyone who pronounced it the traditional way, only eff-rums.

I like [name_m]Ephraim[/name_m] a lot, but with [name_f]Norah[/name_f] it does bring [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_m]Ephron[/name_m] to mind. Not loving [name_u]Remy[/name_u] as a nickname as it has a different style for me. I have only ever heard the eff-rum pronunciation.

[name_m]Ephram[/name_m] is okay. I can’t really see it on a young boy, but maybe I would like it more if I knew one. [name_u]Remy[/name_u] is a great nn. I didn’t think of [name_f]Norah[/name_f] [name_m]Ephron[/name_m] until you mentioned it, and I don’t think many others would think of it.

Thanks everyone, it is staying on my list for now!

I love the name [name_m]Ephraim[/name_m] / [name_m]Efraim[/name_m] / [name_m]Ephrem[/name_m]. [name_m]Ephram[/name_m] fits wonderfully with [name_f]Norah[/name_f].
