WDYT of Etienne for a boy?

[name]Just[/name] say a man called this and tele and I thought it was kind oh cool. What do you think?

I adore [name]Etienne[/name], I have a real soft spot for French names This one is particularly handsome in my opinion, albeit plain compared to others. It has a nice classic feel to it. I don’t think it would work in an English speaking country nowadays though, most would think it’s girly.

Automatically think Auntie [name]Em[/name] from wizard of oz any time I see this name. Would not use this.

Oh, never mind. I see it now. It’s pronounced correctly with two syllables, but if you didn’t know and pronounced it with three it’d come out at et-ee-en. That does sounds like Auntie [name]Em[/name].

Gorgeous name. I think it depends on where you live and how often you mind facing pronunciation issues. If I was 100% in Europe I would use it. Otherwise it is middle name only territory for me.
