[name_m]Hi[/name_m]
I’m interested to hear your thoughts on these names:
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] - do you like it, is it too ‘stuffy’ what sort of person do you imagine with this name???
[name_f]Jemima[/name_f] - I live in Australia so racial stereotypes not an issue here, which nn do you like for [name_f]Jemima[/name_f]? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it is pretty sounding or weird?
I love [name_f]Jemima[/name_f]! I think it’s such a beautiful and sweet name. [name_f]Florence[/name_f] has always felt stuffy and like it’s trying to hard to me.
I adore the name [name_f]Florence[/name_f]! I think [name_f]Flo[/name_f] or [name_f]Flossy[/name_f] are my favorite nicknames. I’ve never been a fan of [name_f]Jemima[/name_f], reminds me too much of the pancake/syrup brand in the US.
I love [name_f]Florence[/name_f]! I am a huge [name_f]Florence[/name_f] + the Machine fan, [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_m]Welch[/name_m] is the best so it would be awesome! Jemina, I don’t like it that much.
[name_f]Jemima[/name_f] is a name that I am always on the fence over. However, I adore [name_f]Florence[/name_f]–it features on my short list.
I really like [name_f]Florence[/name_f] as well!
[name_f]Flora[/name_f],[name_f]Flossie[/name_f], [name_f]Flo[/name_f](least favorite nn)
I prefer [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] to [name_f]Jemima[/name_f]
I dislike [name_f]Jemima[/name_f]. [name_f]Florence[/name_f] is fine.
That is a gorgeous combo! I can picture little [name_f]Florrie[/name_f] and [name_f]Mima[/name_f] running around.
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] is one of my long time favourites and I do love [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] too. I would nn them as [name_f]Florrie[/name_f]/[name_f]Flossie[/name_f] amd [name_f]Emmie[/name_f], if I shortened them at all.
I absolutely love [name_f]Jemima[/name_f], but living in the US, it’s out for me. I love the nn [name_f]Mimi[/name_f].
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] is beautiful too.
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] and [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] would make a fabulous sibling set.
I love both! [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] I especially love, and I like [name_f]Mimi[/name_f] as a NN.
[name_m]Even[/name_m] though I live in the US, I think [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] is perfectly fit for a little girl! Nicknames [name_f]Mimi[/name_f] and [name_f]Jemi[/name_f] are adorable as well! As for [name_f]Florence[/name_f], I associate it with stuffiness, so I don’t think it’s very nice. Also, nicknames like [name_f]Flo[/name_f] or [name_f]Flossie[/name_f] are not appealing to me.
i like them both. i know several australian jemima, nicknamed jem. such a good nickname! florence is a bit more stuffy, but nothing tragic.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] them both, have a good friend [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] who is always messing about with her own nicknames, for years she was [name_f]Mima[/name_f] then [name_u]Jem[/name_u], now she is Jemipie all of which adorable, meaning of the name is great too.
I prefer [name_f]Flora[/name_f] to [name_f]Florence[/name_f] but I do like both a lot, [name_f]Flo[/name_f] or [name_f]Florrie[/name_f] over [name_f]Flossie[/name_f] as nn although [name_f]Flossie[/name_f] tempting.
I love [name_f]Jemima[/name_f], but [name_f]Florence[/name_f] doesn’t appeal to me. It’s a nice name though.
I love [name_f]Florence[/name_f], but I can’t get the negative connotation with [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] out of my head.
