Meaning ‘‘dark battle,’’ and ‘‘grey maiden warrior.’’
i’m not a huge fan of the sound but the meaning is really cool!
I prefer [name_f]Zelda[/name_f], which holds the same meaning.

I agree! Griselda reminds me too much of the word grizzly

[name_f]Griselda[/name_f] is definitely a GP of mine! I think it’s clunky in such a cute way. I also love the meaning, I think it’s such a strong, bad*ss name!
[name_f]Zelda[/name_f] is one of my absolute favorites, so I love that it could be used as a nickname too!!
I want to like it, but it’s not for me. I don’t find the sound or look (it looks “grisly” to me) appealing and the only context I’ve heard it in is as a “witch’s name.” I can see the overall appeal, but it’s too heavy for my taste.
