I have a character I just cannot name!
She is a modern day governess/tutor, first to a very wealthy family with three young girls, later to a humble, sweet farming family who has recently lost their mother. She is very sweet and mature, albeit a little naive at the beginning of the piece. She straddles the line between introvert and extrovert–Enjoying conversation and working with others, but also needing time and space to process her own thoughts. Without that alone time she can get rather irritable! She is a little directionless and, like I said, naive, for a time. She is pretty, but not jaw-dropping beautiful–Tall, average weight/build, dark hair, hazel eyes, nondescript sort of face. Late 20s.
I originally considered [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] for the deceased mother/wife, but now I’m really feeling like [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] may fit this character. What pops into your mind when you think of a young woman named [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]?

If you do decide to use [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] for the mom then maybe [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_f]Millie[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Faye[/name_f], [name_f]Mae[/name_f], or [name_u]June[/name_u] could work for tbe governess.

Oh I like those options! Very pretty! For the moment, for the mom I’ve decided on [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is the governess. The rest of the family is [name_m]Mark[/name_m], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Rachel[/name_f], [name_m]Jack[/name_m], and [name_m]Eli[/name_m] (full name [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]).
