I like the nickname Jinty but Im really unsure about the name [name_f]Jacinta[/name_f]. What do you guys think?
I’m not a fan of [name_f]Jacinta[/name_f] and Jinty sounds silly to me.
I also don’t find Jinty to be appealing but I think [name_f]Jacinta[/name_f] is a pretty name. Floral and feminine.
I actually much prefer the variant [name_f]JACINDA[/name_f].
As long as you pronounce it correctly (hah-SEEN-tah). I have Spanish relatives (and Greek), and this is the correct pronunciation, as NB lists, not jah-sin-tah, the phonetic pronunciation. If you do, then the nn Jinty doesn’t make an awful lot of sense (unless you are prn it hin-tee). Sorry if that came across as harsh.

I know a [name_f]Jacinda[/name_f]. Interesting and unique name. I like the nn [name_f]Cindy[/name_f]. She pronounces it juh-sin-day. [name_f]Jinny[/name_f] would be a cute nn too.
Not sure that I love the t spelling
I’m not a fan. The sound is too harsh and clunky for my ears. I also a [name_f]Jacinta[/name_f] who is less than desirable, so this may be colouring my opinion! I’m usually a huge fan of flower names but not this one, I’m afraid.
[name_f]Jacinta[/name_f] is on my list as well, so obviously I like it. I don’t like the nickname Jinty, but it’s not bad.
I like [name_f]Jacinda[/name_f].
I agree with pp and prefer [name_f]Jacinda[/name_f]. It’s softer and prettier [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. Not a big fan of Jinty.
