Wdyt of Leda Rosaline

[name_f]Leda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] pronounced Laydah [name_f]ROSE[/name_f]-a-lyn. I know this isn’t most common pronunciation, but keep in mind that I’m not American or British or Australian…

I really like [name_f]Leda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] and how they sound together, I really like the Laydah pronounciation. I don’t think having 2 names with the same syllable count is an issue.

I know, but I’m trying to follow nameberry rules about flow. I usually follow rules, but I can’t stop thinking about this one.

I like both names but prefer the spelling [name_f]Leda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] and it to be prn with three syllables.

Well, I’m quite confused on pronunciation of [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f]. When people write [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-uh-lyn or [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-uh-line, do they pronounce -uh- sound at all somehow?

If it has [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] at the beginning, I would pronounce the extra syllable. If it is [name_f]Rose[/name_f], then I don’t. I think there are lots of variations though.

I’m confused my how you pronounce [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f]. I would pronounce it either [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]-leen or [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]-line, I’m not sure if where you live, [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-lyn in the common pronunciation but it doesn’t make sense at all to me to just drop the -a and change the last syllable to -lyn, could you explain that to me?
I think [name_f]Leda[/name_f] is cute.

Well, I’m trying to pronounce [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] like it would be pronounced in English. I know there lot’s of ways to pronounce it, but I get confused, so maybe I’m pronuncing it wrong.

[name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] is one of those names that can be pronounced in different ways: line, leen or lyn. Pick the one that you feel most comfortable using and people will follow your lead. I would pronounce the “uh” if it’s [name_f]ROSAline[/name_f]. [name_f]Leda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] is a pretty combo.

OK, I get it. I edited first post.

I pronounce it [name_f]ROSA[/name_f]-leen. [name_f]Leda[/name_f] [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] is very pretty.

[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Leda[/name_f], both pronunciations, and I do like it with [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f].

Thanks for your input. I’m closing this.
