WDYT of Magnus Lysander Ocean?

What do you think of the name [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_u]Ocean[/name_u]? Nickname will most likely be [name_u]Max[/name_u]. I’m going to be asking about each of my names separately to get some more thoughts on them, thank you

It feels too much. I think [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] or [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] [name_u]Ocean[/name_u] is fine, but two middles doesn’t work with [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] imo

That makes sense, then. I love [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] (big bias because of AMND) but maybe a shorter or more common name (like [name_u]Ocean[/name_u]) would work better?

Like [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_u]Ocean[/name_u] or [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_u]Ocean[/name_u], maybe?

The repeated S sounds in [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_u]Ocean[/name_u] throw me off a bit - could just be me, but I find it difficult to say! I’d go for for either [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] or [name_u]Ocean[/name_u], and a different second middle, along the lines of [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_u]River[/name_u], [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] [name_u]Orion[/name_u], [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] [name_m]Alaric[/name_m] [name_u]Ocean[/name_u], or [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_u]Ocean[/name_u].

I quite like how strong and grand this combo is, though. It sounds like it could the name of an Ancient Emperor.

Oh it’s stunning!! I love it so much. [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] just sounds so grand (naturally!).

For me, this is what pulls it all together. Funny how two people can perceive it so differently!

I agree with pp, it is a bit much. It’s just very heavy with all the repeated sounds. However, I do really like it! It’s so handsome and strong!

I like it but it is a bit clunky. Maybe [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] [name_m]Leander[/name_m] [name_u]Ocean[/name_u]? (so you don’t have the double ‘s’ sound in [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] and [name_m]Lysander[/name_m])

I like it! I think the repeated sounds sit firmly on the side of “cohesive” rather than “overwhelming”, but it possibly depends on how you pronounce [name_m]Lysander[/name_m].

There were quite a few people saying “LISS-ander” on the recent thread about it, and I can see how that might sound a bit repetitive following [name_m]Magnus[/name_m]. But [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] LYE-sander, as I say, flows well to my ear.

I do love just [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] [name_m]Lysander[/name_m] but if two middles are traditional for you, [name_u]Ocean[/name_u] certainly brings a dash of lightness and whimsy to the combo. I think it’s gentle, handsome, quirky and strong.

I like it! It flows well, in my opinion.

However, I don’t quite see how [name_u]Max[/name_u] can be a nickname for [name_m]Magnus[/name_m]?
