I love [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]! It feels bright and sunny. I imagine a girl who is sweet and outgoing, and very optimistic.
Nicknames I like are [name_f]Mari[/name_f] and [name_f]Goldie[/name_f]!

I love [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]! It combines three pretty associations: [name_f]Mary[/name_f], [name_m]Gold[/name_m], and the gorgeous flowers. And some flower names are pretty but I am not even sure what the real flower looks like or if I’ve ever seen one, while marigolds are the flower my parents always planted because they bloomed all summer, so it’s actually meaningful. I don’t like [name_f]Mari[/name_f] or [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] nearly as much as the full [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], so if I needed a nickname for it, I would be inclined to use [name_f]Molly[/name_f].

I want to like it but it’s just so hippie sounding. It makes me think of gold fish too for some reason more so than the flower.

It’s one of my top middle names for a little girl, but it’s darling as a first name too! I imagine a [name_f]Marigold[/name_f] as a bubbly and happy girl, and I love the nicknames [name_f]Goldie[/name_f], [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], and [name_f]Mary[/name_f].
I am crushing so hard on this name lately. I get bright, sunny, Hufflepuff sorts of vibes, with lots of imagery of honey, bees, flower crowns, autumn leaves, and those slanty, liminal, golden sunbeams you see in the evenings just before the sunset.

I love it but I’m not so sure it’s super wearable. I think its a beautiful middle name. But spunkier middle names and more approachable nicknames is just more my style.

I think that it’s lovely. It’s vintage & well known but not over done. It works well on any age in my opinion, even though it has a sweet girlish vibe. It feels kind & friendly & lovable. [name_f]Mari[/name_f] & [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] are obvious nns, but I totally think that [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] or [name_f]Molly[/name_f] could work too. [name_u]Or[/name_u] even [name_f]Maisy[/name_f]?

[name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is wonderful. A very bright and sunshiny sort of name that feels happy and light! I like all the nickname options as well, my personal favorite being the more spunky nickname of [name_u]Mars[/name_u]. It’s a lovely name!

It’s beautiful, but I wouldn’t use it because of the hippie association. I imagine a kind, imaginative girl, and can picture her being artistic, musical, and/or bookish. She also has curly (not necessarily gold) hair for some reason. I can’t quite imagine it on a real person though. It just seems like it’s been plucked out of an old [name_f]English[/name_f] novel. (I much prefer that association to the hippie one, though! 
) I think [name_f]Mary[/name_f] could make it more approachable, but I personally dislike [name_f]Goldie[/name_f]. (Seems too dismissive.) I love [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]!
[name_f]Marigold[/name_f] is so sunshine-y and happy! I think [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] is my favorite of the obvious nicknames, but I also love the idea of [name_f]Meg[/name_f] if you’re open to a bit more of a stretch. [name_u]Or[/name_u] even [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]? And [name_f]Mari[/name_f] is also one of my favorite names, although I pronounce it differently than the first part of [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], so maybe that would get tricky? Anyway, I’d love to meet a [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]!
I love [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]! They’re all smiles and laughter, bright, joyful, and happy. I imagine someone creative or in a caring role, passionate about their work, but also very fun loving, and playful, running through fields of grass and newly blooming flowers in the spring. They’re always helping people, trying to make everyone smile and feel better. Always up for an adventure too!
