Itā€™s not my style and I could see there being pronunciation issues with both the first and middle but I can see itā€™s appeal

How? Super common name where I live, at least.

I look at [name_f]Mira[/name_f] and want to say it two ways

  1. My-ra
  2. Meer-a

And I guess looking at how the MIR resembles the word fir I could see a possible third way people look at this name as Mur-a

I knew a [name_f]Meara[/name_f] (pronounced like the #2) and people were always confused at how to say her name initially but thatā€™s the only thing close to [name_f]Mira[/name_f] Iā€™ve encountered around where Iā€™m at. So I wouldnā€™t say itā€™s that common everywhere. But your location may make it an easier name for you.

Very pretty!!! However I pronounce [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] ā€œno-EH-meā€, and thatā€™s the only way Iā€™ve ever heard it pronounced. It shouldnā€™t cause many issues since itā€™s a middle though. Your pronunciation sounds like ā€œno wayā€ to me.

Itā€™s solidly meer-uh here.

Itā€™s pretty! I really like the look and the sound, although the pronunciation of [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] isnā€™t really instinctual for me, I always say it as ā€˜No-eh-meā€™.
I pronounce [name_f]Mira[/name_f] just as you do (meer-a) but I can see it being confused for the my-ra pronunciation. Itā€™s not a bad thing though, just an easy correction, and itā€™s a very pretty name!

I didnā€™t say that you shouldnā€™t use it! :)) Only that it isnā€™t instinctual to me. If itā€™s the more common pronunciation where you live then of course that wouldnā€™t be an issue, and itā€™s still a pretty pronunciation.
