Yes, it is old, vintage, dated. I am currently eyeing it up, but it is too dated??

I like it!
I like it! I guess it’s one of those names that I would love to see on someone else’s child though. People are named [name]Ariel[/name] though, so I think [name]Muriel[/name] sounds similar enough to not be viewed as an old lady name.
I like it! It’s nms but I’d like to see it used
I don’t like it sorry, I automatically think of an old lady. Regardless of that I just don’t like the way it sounds.
It has a very mushy sound, without distinct syllables which really isn’t my cup of tea. I prefer [name]Myrilla[/name] or [name]Myrtle[/name]
I like [name]Mariel[/name] much better.
My best friend was named [name]Muriel[/name], but she moved away! The nickname Muri is so cute!
I just think of Aunt [name]Muriel[/name] from the [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] series.
It’s too old ladyish for me
I think [name]Muriel[/name] has a beautiful, light, ethereal sound to it - but on the other hand, it does sound a tad dated. I like [name]Mariel[/name], as someone else suggested. But then I go back to thinking the Mur is interesting and pretty…hmmmm…I think it’s a yes for me. I do like it.
I like it and would consider using it but I have a niece named [name]Marybelle[/name] and to me that would be confusing.
It is vintage and musty but new and refreshing.
[name]Muriel[/name] does seem a bit old to me, but with lots of old-fashioned names making a comeback, maybe there’s a place for her.
[name]LOVE[/name] it!!!
I want to like it but I can’t help but think of [name]Chandler[/name] from Friends. It was his MN so that has given it a slight masculine feel to me.
I’m thinking about [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name]. You know, the grand grandmother of Weasley. I don’t like it at all, sorry.
I don’t like it. [name]Way[/name] too dated to me.
[name]Muriel[/name]'s Wedding - starring [name]Toni[/name] [name]Collette[/name]
And ALWAYS makes me think of this clip: You´re terrible Muriel - YouTube
“You’re terrible [name]Muriel[/name]”.
It feels feminine to me, but I think of Friends too:
[name]Chandler[/name]: “It could be worse, it’s not like he’s calling me [name]Muriel[/name].”
[name]Ross[/name]: “[name]Muriel[/name]? Why would he call you [name]Muriel[/name]?.. Oh My God, [name]Chandler[/name] M. [name]Bing[/name]? It’s not just an M, your middle name is [name]Muriel[/name]!”
[name]Chandler[/name]: “Ssssh! It’s a family name!”
It doesn’t strike me as an old name. I prefer [name]Mariel[/name] though.
