[name]Margaret[/name] [name]Athena[/name] - I think [name]Athena[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] would flow better. My tongue trips up with the “aret” in [name]Margaret[/name] and the “Ath” in [name]Athena[/name]. They sort of blend into each other.
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Helena[/name] - It’s lovely to see [name]Mary[/name] get her due and I love these two classic names together! I much prefer [name]Mary[/name] to [name]Marie[/name]. If you go with [name]Marie[/name], I would be tempted to go all French or add on a hyphen (eg. [name]Marie[/name] Hélène or [name]Marie[/name]-Hélène).
[name]Anne[/name] [name]Penelope[/name] - A nice mix of classic and mythological.
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] - I love vintage names so these two are swoon-worthy!
Phoebe Alice - See Anne Penelope.
Faves: [name]Clara[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] and [name]Mary[/name] [name]Helena[/name] (these would make a lovely sister pairing!
[name]Margaret[/name] [name]Athena[/name] - I am not much of an [name]Athena[/name] fan, the style clashes with [name]Margaret[/name] [name]IMO[/name]
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Helena[/name] - I definitely prefer [name]Mary[/name] [name]Helena[/name]! Very strong and matriarchal
[name]Anne[/name] [name]Penelope[/name] - The flow is off, what about [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Anne[/name], even though I an not a fan of [name]Anne[/name] in the MN spot
[name]Margaret[/name] [name]Athena[/name] – This is a lovely name! It’s my favorite from your list. I love seeing [name]Athena[/name] used And [name]Margaret[/name] is such a classic name that [name]Athena[/name] spices it up.
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Helena[/name] / [name]Marie[/name] [name]Helena[/name] – I prefer [name]Mary[/name] [name]Helena[/name]. i’m curious though, are you pronouncing it hel-AY-nuh or hel-EN-uh? I think it sounds fine either way though, and it’s lovely too.
[name]Anne[/name] [name]Penelope[/name] – i prefer [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Anne[/name] simply because [name]Anne[/name] is so short and abrupt then [name]Penelope[/name] is long and flowing. I like it though. If it were [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Anne[/name], it would be my 2nd favorite.
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] – This is lovely too, but I generally don’t like [name]Josephine[/name].
[name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Alice[/name] – This is my 2nd favorite on your list. I love the classic [name]Alice[/name] with the spunky [name]Phoebe[/name].
I prefer [name]Athena[/name] [name]Margaret[/name], but [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Athena[/name] is okay. [name]Clara[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is nice, but I don’t care for [name]Anne[/name] [name]Penelope[/name]. [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Anne[/name] sounds nice. [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Alice[/name] is okay, but I prefer [name]Alice[/name] [name]Phoebe[/name].
[name]Margaret[/name] [name]Athena[/name] - I’m not a huge fan of either, but I think they work well together. I also love [name]Margaret[/name]'s nns, particularly [name]Maggie[/name], [name]Maisie[/name], [name]Mari[/name]/[name]Ari[/name], and [name]Mae[/name].
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Helena[/name] / [name]Marie[/name] [name]Helena[/name] - [name]Mary[/name] [name]Helena[/name], definitely! She just has this lovely, regal, timeless air. I also really like [name]Helena[/name] [name]Mary[/name].
[name]Anne[/name] [name]Penelope[/name] - very sweet. I love the nn [name]Annie[/name], too.
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] - lovely! [name]Clara[/name] and [name]Josephine[/name] just seem like they’re meant for each other. Everyone seems to love them together, and she just has an air of sweetness and perfection. I like it a lot.
[name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Alice[/name] - my personal favorite. I didn’t used to love [name]Phoebe[/name], but I love her now, and [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Alice[/name] is just adorable.
I think they are all beautiful combinations. I don’t have anything negative to say about any of them! [name]Mary[/name] [name]Helena[/name] is probably my favorite. It’s hard to chose though.
[name]Margaret[/name] [name]Athena[/name] - I love both these names and I love their Greekness together. However, they both have 3 syllables, so the rhythm’s not as good as on some others.
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Helena[/name] / [name]Marie[/name] [name]Helena[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Mary[/name] [name]Helena[/name]! [name]Both[/name] names are great and they combine well. [name]Marie[/name] [name]Helena[/name] is fine but I want to make it [name]Marie[/name] [name]Helene[/name].
[name]Anne[/name] [name]Penelope[/name] - nice variance in the structure but [name]Anne[/name] kind of feels like it gets lost in [name]Penelope[/name]. [name]Anna[/name] [name]Penelope[/name] might be better?
[name]Clara[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] - really like this one. Good rhythm and they have similar feeling.
[name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Alice[/name] - love both names. 2-2 rhythm isn’t quite as good as some others though. [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Alicia[/name] is appealing to me.
Thanks for the advice so far everyone! I think I’m liking [name]Mary[/name] [name]Helena[/name] the best atm
I have thought of another two combos I like since I posted this thread and would love some feedback:
[name]Cecily[/name] [name]Bridget[/name]
[name]Cecily[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]
Or possibly [name]Cecilia[/name] in the fn spot? Which do you prefer, [name]Cecily[/name] or [name]Cecilia[/name]??? I’m eaning towards [name]Cecily[/name] but I don’t know!
