It’s a beautiful name! It may get confused with Naomi, but other than that I see no problems with it! I say it no-eh-mee, so you might get some variation in pronunciation.

@skylerros, I just made another comment on your other thread. [name_f]My[/name_f] 7 year old (today is her birthday) is [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] [name_f]Xochitl[/name_f]. Most people who see her name written out call her [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] even though the vowels are different. It’s just what people in the US are used to I guess. I will correct people (sometimes several times) if it is someone we will interact with again, like a doctor or teacher. If I won’t see them again, I just let it go at this point. Although she will sometimes correct people herself.

I say this spelling as No-eh-me. Spelled [name_f]Noemie[/name_f] the pronunciation is No-ay-me. It’s pretty!

I like it too! Ironically I am generally not a fan of Spanish names, and I very strongly dislike [name_f]Naomi[/name_f], but I love [name_f]Noemi[/name_f]! :heart_eyes:. It’s very light and summery.

I grew up around quite a few Naomi’s so although I like the name I would give my daughter [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] over it. I specifically picked out the name [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Noemi[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] if I were to ever use it.
