I came across this and it’s really growing on me. I’m not seeing my husband being a fan of it, but what do you guys think of it? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think the “or” part of it lends to teasing potential? (as in “oral”, which I’m sure you guys can picture where that goes…)
I prefer [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] or [name_f]Eliana[/name_f].
[name_f]Lovely[/name_f]…
My mind would never go to oral- and I’m a teenager
I prefer [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] because the nickname [name_u]Ari[/name_u] is cuter than [name_u]Ori[/name_u] imo and I feel like [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] would get confused with [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] a lot
[name_f]Oriana[/name_f] is lovely and distinctive, and I can’t see any immediate teasing potential. [name_u]Ori[/name_u] or [name_u]Rory[/name_u] would be a cute nn.
I agree. [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] [name_f]Grande[/name_f]'s name “was originally inspired by [name_f]Princess[/name_f] [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] from [name_m]Felix[/name_m] the [name_f]Cat[/name_f] (1959),” according to her Wikipedia page, and I think it’s a shame her parents didn’t just go with [name_f]Oriana[/name_f]. It’s more interesting.
I think it’s quite pretty and love pp’s suggestions of [name_u]Rory[/name_u] as a nn. I don’t think you need to worry about any teasing.
I have a niece [name_f]Orianna[/name_f]! It fits her perfectly! I am not aware of teasing. She is part of a sibset, [name_u]Riley[/name_u], journey & ky
Thanks for the feedback I unfortunately let myself love this name too much though
I asked my husband what he thought of it and got a firm, resounding “NO!” [name_m]Ah[/name_m] well…
